Immeasurable appreciation to Gaither Music for recording these treasured Gospel Greats! Several are now singing with the Saints in Glory! Thanks to Jesus, we will all be with them one sweet day! 🙌✝️🎶
I searched high and low, low and had no where to go go, looking to fill the void of my soul oh, the only way I found, the only way I could ever go, was to the LORD!
Living below, in this old sinful world All Gods comfort can afford Thriving along, to face temptation's sore Where could I go but to the Lord? Where could I go, oh where could I go? Seeking a refuge for my soul Needing a friend, to save me in the end Where could I go, but to the Lord? Neighbors are kind, I love them everyone We get along in sweet accord But when my soul, needs manna from above Where could I go but to the Lord? Where could I go, oh where could I go? Seeking a refuge for my soul Needing a friend, to save me in the end Where could I go, but to the Lord? Life here is grand, with friends I love so dear Comfort I get from God's own word Yet when I face this chilling hand of death Where could I go but to the Lord? Where could I go, oh where could I go? Seeking a refuge for my soul Needing a friend, to save me in the end Where could I go, but to the Lord?
+Aaron Abeytia, I'm a truck driver and an aspiring bass singer. J.D. Sumner was the fiercest bass vocalist to ever grace any stage, anywhere. I can get as low as he does in this song, but not much lower. I keep praying that, one day, I'll be able to park the truck and get on the bus, so that I might perform for the masses, all for the Glory of His name. God bless you all !!!
I've been listening to Gaithersburg since I was 6 yrs old and they help me threw some very bad times I'm adopted lost all my adopted family and biological family then in 12/8/13 Lord needed another angel my wife and our dog so I know what I say GOD will see you threw
As my sister's death anniversary approaches, I'm reminded of this song which she sung hours before passing 😢. It's been four years but still I haven't been able to listen to this song to the end.. I get so overwhelmed with emotions midway. Now I understand it wasn't just a song she was listening to,she was actually facing the chilling hand of death.😢I miss you sis. Rest a while.
May, God, Bless You. I too, lost a sister. I know what you, are going through. I lost my a couple of months ago. But, I know that I will See Her, again in, "Heaven", again some glad Day, too. Amen Take Care. 🙏🙏❤️
@@alicestahl7408 Thank you very much. May God grant you peace and comfort as you learn to live with the loss of your dear sister. Sending you lots of hugs❤️.

Johanna glory glori aleluya Suero I'm sure the Master supplied us with all solutions when He through the Spirit inspired the delivery of this great piece
thank you! my brother is a Pastor and a missing person since November 1, 2016. when I am thinking of him this helps me with my sadness. we can't find him.
The reason Prince Edward and I argued about the translation of The Anchor Holds was because he wanted copyright to the song and he thought Prince Phillip would try to suppress the song if the language was too strong. Also the translation was clearly American English and some of the ideas use contractions. Edward thought some of the ideas would offend other members of his family.
there's no where in this world that we can go but to the Lord. the song where could I go but to the lord is a great song to sing, when u are down and all that is around u is gone. Neibhbors are kind, I love them everyone..... we get alone in sweet accord.... but when I need manna from above... won't you tell where could I go but to the
Almost no bass people left , with the hormones in food the thyroid pushes on the chords and most singers can’t sing low , lets not forget a low voice has to come with all the other singing qualities
I wrote Loving God, Loving Each Other in Spanish and I translated the song into Flemish before it was translated into English. The translation used by Gloria Gaither was a poor translation made by Shawn Obrien. The song was written for the nuptual mass of my oldest granddaughter Carla Diego who grew up in El Salvador. She marriage Roberto Rios on July 7, 1983. The original translation I made into English was: Loving God, loving each other AS WE WALK ALONG LIFE'S ROAD; Loving God, loving each other SINGING AS WE GO.
I wrote Where Could I Go But To The Lord in Flemish in June of 1970. The song was written while I was underneath the kitchen table trying to avoid the domestic violence going on between my parents. My mother and father were trying to kill each other and I had to stay hidden all night to avoid being killed. My brothers were in the bedroom upstairs but it wasn't safe for me to make a dash for the stairway. I just had to stay where I was and pray hard all night. I composed the song in my mind. The song was layer translated into English by Vestal Goodman.
I wrote Where Could I Go in 1970. At that time my father was extremely violent and my mother was struggling with alcohol and drugs. It was a period of much domestic violence in our home. I first came into contact with the Teen Tones around that time as well and I wrote this song 🎵 with their group in mind. It was the Teen Tones who first recorded it.
Bill and Gloria you revolutionized Gospel music

One of my all time favorite old gospel songs!! I love that low Eb1 that JD goes down to at the end!! Awesome!
It's an Ab1.
