Watching this brung back so many memories of when i use to orderfill at Walmart grocery warehouse many years ago except didn't use labels and moved way faster
Man,I wish the grocery aisles at GFS were this nice and laid back. No potholes in floor,or hi lo drivers leaving stacks of pallets. And shit the guys here actually select the cases from top to bottom instead of back to front. But man you gotta love the glue on those 6-10s such a pain.
I work at meijer warehouse freezer and let me tell you. If you go this slow there they fire you. We have a minimum package count before we can leave and if you can’t hit it within your 8-12 hours your out.
Pick by voice looks very easy.We still do everything with picklist. And we have a lot of small parts, so you have to write a lot, and because you don't have cross-checking, you make mistakes more often. We also always have to check everything.batches,sizes,materials.I don't know how heavy the packages are but that doesn't look back friendly.
Sounds like a lots of slave laborers. I went to work at a logistics warehouse and found out they had only one 30 min lunch in a 12 hr shift. I didn’t go back the next day. I’m nobody’s slave. There’s no reason they can provide more breaks. This is just sweat shop labor all over again. I just left a job after 37 years to relocate and I was putting up the same numbers you all talk about here and we had a morning break and lunch in the afternoon for 8 hr shift and another afternoon break if we had to work overtime. So it’s possible.
I find it funny when people compare modern jobs to slavery. I guarantee you know nothing of what slavery is actually like. I don't either. You can just say the job sucks.
Zone stacking can be hard sometimes, if your on a productively standard rate. Most drivers just want the first 1 or two stops in the front so they can see it
@@SUNSHINESTATE904 you just sucked as a selector lol, I've picked strictly off labels, voice with labels, strictly voice no labels and currently at Sysco with the scanner and labels and all those different selection processes aren't hard to pick up and master unless you're easily frustrated.
@@sburns015the labels are better than the voice picking headsets. I also prefer the scanners over voice pick as well. The standards are higher with voice pick and its annoying having to talk to a headset all day.
I wish I could work slow like that where I work but no you have to make rate or over the rate. You have to be fast and sometimes it's not easy I don't even know how to maintain higher rate on bigger orders like 139 cube orders.
Depends how tired I get , the type of case I get ., I get some ducked orders at Albertsons and the lay out sucks consistently non pairs of 2s light with heavy boxes it’s all fucked but I stack a flush board no matter what because it keeps me moving faster because I know that my shit won’t fall unless I do sometbing hella stupid ., but I agree about rate dropping thruout the day ., it just does ., dry is like 14 aisles and each task is like 185 cases for 45 mins or like 230ish cases for 58 minutes .., like I said depends on the shit I get to stack with , sometimes forced to rehandle a lot of cases because there’s shit that we use for bases like dog foods and sometimes grocery bags like 5 of em will be a whole base
I always recommend smashing the back pallet on the doubles so that you can wrap a little as you go and if you can build a good board like me then the front board holds itself
The exception of single board orders , i build the pallet in the front because you can hold a 50-60 cube with your mast no problem if you can stack well ., but to be fair the majority of the selectors I pull with stack like shit and pull better than me honestly I don’t get it but they’ve been doing it a while honestly ., been pulling in the mid to high 90s since the 1st week ., knew I would plateau tho ., that’s why I’m going to the cooler ., wish me luck G !
lol @ warehouses still using pick by voice systems, when my warehouse done away with the pick by voice systems and started using scanners instead pick rates when up by 60% and btw i really hope this dude is a newbie.
No warehouse will allow you to move like a slug, plus its empty and hea not having to move fpr anyone or wait for anyone..no rwach trucks, no nothing haha

This is the WEAKEST selecting I’ve ever seen in my life. And on a double jack?? Where’s the triple jack at??? One case per slot? That’s a dream. Pull up on 45 40 lb fry boxes in the freezer on a 320 case order with 14 stops lol. This guy would fold like a cheap suit

I agree the man is not physically running...but if all of my guys worked at this pace...I'd be handing out quarterly bonuses!

If you eat right and exercise regularly, one 30 minute break in a 12hr shift wouldn't bother you as much

30 cases an hour at US FOODS!!!!! HELL NO. I WISH ITS LIKE THAT AT SYSCO
Lol the one I worked at was 185/hr for 100%! This due would never make it!

Man completely true where i work also
This guy is a ergonomic nightmare.
I wonder how many people left there product in the pick line with the label on it.
Pick the overstock first!!
Man fuck that ! Quit blocking the pick slots lol
You still at US foods ?
Who else stacks their pallets w no tie smh he had almost the same size Boxes. u should always know what to put where w out hesitating it's natural
Us Foods, and sysco dont usually tie in alot they column stack because they mix customers on pallets and they dont want the drivers digging
What is the company?
This is different when I was an order filler at Walmart we labeled freight from each slot and threw it on a conveyor belt. Is this easier?
Hell no
Constant pace always win at the end.

N Akin I think picking in groups is easier on production but a little harder on the body and much easier to stack
But yeah he look pretty slow 😂
Probably don’t get paid instinctive just hourly pay or he just started and is still learning how to stack everything and remember the boxes
