Love her or loath her,one thing which she has proven is that true talent doesn't need all the razmataz which today's vocalists tend to overdo. Even today she can simply walk on stage and just sing and she has you in the palm of her hand.
I'm 73 and Barbra Streisand has been a lovely gift my whole life long. Thank you, for all the moving songs... some still bring tears to my eyes. Thank you for all the movies... many I still watch to this day. Thank you for the time, love, and care you gave everything you offered us. I pray you're happy and have peace and joy in your life.
I thought this would offend me, but it's produced with extraordinary talent, and every single image of Ms. Streisand shows her incredible, unique, and TIMELESS beauty. And the song is a fitting homage to a true Legend.

I don't have permission to use any of Streisand's recordings but Richard Kates who wrote this song about Streisand gave me his permission to use it in my video. It really sums up Streisand's career much better than any single song that she has sung. Richard and I think that it works very well.
I first heard that song 3 or 4 years ago and was stunned by the cleverness of the lyrics and how the music seamlessly encompasses Bab's songs. Pure genius! I'm really curious as whether Streisand herself liked it or not. I'd say yes, but who knows...

I heard someone say of Streisand that God kissed her on the throat. He voice has always been amazing & continues to be, not only for her vocal skills but the unique personality she's able to engineer in everything she's recorded. I've read she's a perfectionist but other pros love to work with her becuz she'll mk sure they all sound fabulous forever in the final cut. My Grandma's were fans & my Mom & now me. Looks like I'm not alone😄
Agreed. I've loved her voice and followed her career for 40 years. Vocals are purrfection - not so keen on her acting though...
@wayne elliott...She was tremendous in THE WAY WE WERE, NUTS, & the goodbye scene in THE GUILT TRIP, among others. No less than John Huston called her one of the world's great actresses.

This was utterly fantastic. Totally fantastic. Stephanie Lawrence can sing like crazy. And Richard Kates... a man after my own heart. I'm totally impressed.
This song was originally written for a very well comedian in England called Su Pollard. We were putting together a cabaret act for her, and I commented that every song she wanted to sing had been previously sung by Babs, which gave me the idea for the song. It was recorded on my first CD of my words and music, 'Among Friends', by the late, great Stephanie Lawrence, and been sung by many cabaret artists worldwide. There are so many Streisand references, only the real fans would get them all.

Yet the nose helps make her excellent tone, because singing has to do with resonance in the head.

I first saw HerBunk's work after I watched a brilliant morph he did of the queen and contacted him to see if he would put my song about her, 'All Those Glorious Years' to his video, which he did in a matter of hours. Since that first song he has done morphs to about six of my songs, quite superbly, and has brought my songs to a far wider audience. This Streisand one is getting the most amazing reaction and I am very grateful to him for his time and talent. Long may he continue.

A loving homage to an incredible talent. Very clever lyrics, beautifully sung. How many or her adoring fans have mispronounced her name-as much as she hates it? Hell-even I have been Guilty of it. The morphing was an awesome reminder of her remarkable career. I think Ms. Streisand will enjoy it. After all these years. I think she's less critical of herself and of her People. Barbra is 14 years older than I and I grew up & went through life aware of her. Yet, her choice of music genre seemed more for older people and squares. I found her way of singing to sound, strained; like yelling. It seemed obnoxious and square. But I did think she was pretty and i liked her in "What's Up Doc" and "The Way We Were". I realize she is well into her 70's now. Though she never was a favorite of mine in any way, she feels to me like a part of the American family, and will never be forgotten. At least not for a long time.

This song was recorded by Stephanie before Babs started saying how her name should be pronounced. I would certainly have insisted of the 'sand' if I had know. Interestingly, Stephanie does pronounce it correctly a couple of times.

Nice morphing work. Too bad the singer doesn't pronounce Barbra's last name correctly. It's StreiSand with an "S" not StreiZand with a "Z". Barbra has been known to correct people on the spot, especially in the UK where they continually say streiZZZZund.
