ive actually had alot going on with this cemetery. in the coming month i intend on doing a scale clean up.
I seen a marker with last name Brooks. This name is on both of my mom and dads side of the family. Thanks so much for the video and the information. I had never heard about this cemetery.
Thats sooo cool, would love to visit an old abandoned cemetery. ;p

And good luck trying to get the state involved, I think your best bet would be to contact the historic Society or even some volunteers! Such a shame to see these places thrown away. I am dealing with something similar to this.
Ive actually been working to gain this place historical recognition... it played an important part in tennessees early history. Getting the state to do anything would literally take an act of congress

Although that gives me an idea. Perhaps in the fall (the only time this place is accessible) i could create a vounteer clean up even.. and atleast get the dead trees off of the tombstones and do a general trash clean up
Just an update: i have made great progress in getting this place some recognition. i met up with the Sons of the Revolution who are going to assist me in getting a headstone, and we are working with TVA to gain permission to have a group out there to clean it up.
so in this order i will organize a clean up once i get a green light from the state, and when i receive the headstone. After that then we will place the stone, and have a color gaurdsmen come out and give him a proper ceremony. (all of this will be uploaded to the channel) :)
Could you get a group to go out and clean it up?
