It is horrific, I agree but think just how many burn victims and victims of other accidents can live relatively ok lives because of these monsters. Even though it was unethical and monstrous as all hell those experiments propelled medical science by a LOT.
In a way you can understand the thinking of the Allies who recruited scientists of this nature, at least this way we can profit from their work and their victims did not suffer in vain. Basically it's a "make the best of a bad situation" kind of story.

Did you know that what you call the "dark side of the moon" is lit up just as often and just as bright as the near side of the moon? It's just that the moon is tidally locked so we cant see that side
Pretty much. "Dark," in this case, is referring to "radio dark," since we can't communicate in a straight line, all spacecraft that we've sent to orbit the moon "go dark" while they're on the opposite side of the moon from us.

Fun fact: night time on the far side of the Moon is actually darker than the near side. Since the Moon is tidally locked, the Earth is always in the sky of the near side sky and reflects 'earthshine' onto that surface throughout the near side's night time whereas the far side never receives that earthshine.
Near Side or Dark Side, China sure is taking an interest in that side. They are the only nation that has samples from that side. It has been theorised that there is a substantially higher concentration of the helium 3 isotope in the dirt on that side, helium 3 being touted as the holy grail of fuel for a fusion reactor.

Not a fan of the changes I’m seeing in the “Dark” channels. They were close to amazing in different ways.
This video is a far cry from the tone and mood setting that used to be here.
I didn’t understand why the former narrator couldn’t wrap his mind around how to pronounce the word “chassis”. He would always pronounce it as chasssisss even if we called him out on it.
He couldn’t pronounce that properly, yet could nail the pronunciation of a word from the Russian or Chinese or French or other languages.
It’s very perplexing.
I’m not unsubbing now. I’m watching how these channels change.
Honestly I’m very concerned for the “Dark” channels as a whole.

Why do you ( and most other US based content providers,) insist on knocking the Chinese for doing the very same things the US has been doing for many more years. The featured observatory is placed in a remote and generally inaccessible location (as are most such installations,) because it is at altitude and very arid being above cloud levels. It makes sense that China would want this facility on the other side of the World to maintain 24 hour observations and communication with its space assets; And just how many such facilities under US control are 'open to the public? China has as much right as America to protect its global interests and is only responding to US attempts for global dominance; On the World Stage, it is America that is the aggressor akin to a 'school yard bully' under the guise of protecting its Trade and Military interests with over 700 bases and 17 Carrier Battle Groups worldwide ???
