The way the Comodo dragons hunt is by biting their prays from behind so that they cannot seen them. The bite is poisonous just like in snakes, but the poison takes some time to fully paralyze the prey. So it's not done in purpose for likes etc. P.S. And of course goats and many other animals are alert and react extremely quickly if they notice a Comodo dragon.
They didn’t. You do know the komodo dragon has a venom that makes your blood coagulate. Seems like the animal was wounded earlier & the dragon waited till the venom started taking effect. Look it up
