What you did with the crown was genius, I’ve never seen that before. Any average barber would have just told the client it wasn’t possible with their hair.
Fantastic cut. I’ve a double crown and my hair falls very much like this guy’s. I’ve always had to leave that length to get it to sit down flat, but it’s hard to find hairdressers who actually know how to deal with it. Thanks for posting!
The way Dan consults every client is incredible. I was absolutely love to have my hair cut but unfortunately I live in the Highlands of Scotland. One day 🙏
I've a double crown . I know the struggles of teaching my hair to go to once side . Buzzcuts are common with men with double crowns as it tends to stick up if not kept down with shorter cuts on the crown's themselves or heavy products . My type of video
I watched "some" of your videos because my husband badly needed a haircut. I saw this one and followed your instructions. My husband is delighted!!! It's better than the haircut he gets at his usual barbers!!! Previously I was terrified of holding the clippers, never mind using a pair of scissors - having watched your channel I can say I have officially graduated from UA-cam University, thanks to you! Keep it up - love, love, love the videos. THANK YOU!!!!
As barbers are still closed here in Belgium, we are about to cut dad's hair again this coming Tuesday. This came just in time. Thank you! I always watch a couple hair cutting videos right before the cut, and this helps *hugely* with remembering how to do it. Me and mom are by no means professionals, but we haven't done too too bad thanks to the techniques shown. Awesome!
Thanks for the advice for people like me with a double crown. Never realised how much it shows since we can not see the back of our own heads! Looks like a bald patch. I usually have it short and can hardly notice it, but at medium ish length 2 inches it is a disaster
Dans the man . Love watching you guys and helping me as a newby barber to increase my personal skills and improve over the last few months 👍👍👌👌 cheers guys
Wonderful job as always .. Thanks for your efforts and the useful information .. The beautiful thing about your videos, Dan, is that every second of it contains new and useful information.
I have a double crown as well. It's nice to see you "disguise" his here but I don't believe there's any hope for mine. 3A curly hair. Both whorls grow out flat against the scalp. With enough length they eventually meet up and match the top and back of the head patterns. One grows counter-clockwise, on the left, with the other right next to it growing clockwise. The biggest problem is the hair in the cowlicks have a different texture, and split and break easily. Also have another cowlick at the front on the left. Anyway... scanning your videos hoping I spot some solutions. Thank you for posting these. 🙂
I’ve had to learn how to cut hair due to how many kids we have. My twin boys have double crowns. One fine & thin. The other fine & thick. Crown on opposite sides of their scalp… just odd facts. This classic style looks best on them. It may be more forgiving of the double crown IF care is taken around the problem zones… or maybe I’m too scared to venture out not being a professional. lol Thank you so much for this video. 🙏 Great content!
Superb haircut, loved watching how Dan dealt with the double crown and explained it all. Dan do you cut women's hair as I would love you to cut mine and give me ideas. Thank you for sharing this video. :)
Once all these restrictions end, an appointment with dan is being made asap! Im thinking a complete restyle from classic side part to french crop. Is it weird i have total trust in dan but have never actually had my haircut by him 😂
we basically have the same hair (texture and the way it falls) and i want to know what kind of style works best because i never had a definite style for my hair
I've wanted a similar haircut and have very similar straight hair that sticks out at short lengths, but I recently shaved my head and discovered I've got a double crown. I need to figure out how to deal with growing it out until I can get to this stage lol
Quick question pal, I’m growing my hair out but naturally has loads of volume, so as it grows longer it also grows outwards and puffy-ish, so makes me look like I’ve got a big head lol, anything you recommend to use to reduce volume or make it sit better?
I needed this video. I wear my straight thin hair the same way. I have a problem that my hair never sits at the crown area. Not sure if it's too long, any tips?
Both of these tutorials have really helpful advice about the crown area. You either have to cut the crown very short very often, or leave it long enough to sit flat in the direction of the hair growth. Andy Tran - ua-cam.com/video/CFnFAOIstD8/v-deo.html Allie Kursz-Bussa - ua-cam.com/video/haOOladK9DU/v-deo.html
To leave the section of the hair nearest the parting the longest. As that is going to be brought all the way across and needs to connect with the opposite side!
I haven't had Buzzcut in so long the last time I got Buzzcut was like 2012 after that I started getting long top and short sides and back from 2013 to 2016 after 2016 I started getting skin fades till now so which style should I go with I need a change style ?
After watching these. I can honestly say that I don't think I've ever had a proper haircut in my entire life lol
Lol right?
This is €100-200 dollar cut, not €20.

Incredible. Barber’s up there with the best on UA-cam.

I love the way you don’t use thinning scissors up the sides, too many people butcher haircuts with thinning scissors. Nice cut!
Easily one of the best hair stylists I’ve come across, learned so much. Do you prefer not to do more bald/skin fades?
I had never heard of a double crown until my own son ended up with one and the back of his head always looks like this guy in the beginning
Very Cool Scissor and Comb switch skills using one hand!

He really explains everything so well. Wish he was my barber.
My biggest problem with my hair is my crown. Hairs always stand up. Barbers be like “You can’t fix it”.
Fantastic video, I've been watching your stuff and haven't learned a lot and ik definitely seeing a huge improvement with my cuts thanks!
So satisfying to watch, and to listen to lol, beautiful and versatile haircut. Stay safe Dan, and get lots of vitamin D lol, you are a treasure.
Ben is so damn handsome, and that sleek haircut suits him PERFECTLY!!
At last. a non-buzz cut. Professional pride in real barbering and styling.

Nice cut but if he did a sharp 0 on the sides he would of looked even fresher in my opinion but either way he looks good.
Where exactly is this master and how much for a haircut
I just found out looking for you that I visit the construction site down the road occasionally, may have to make a visit when I can 😂
Nice cut Dan, but why you cut the hair to this angle on the top? Like long hair to fall into shorter.
To leave the section of the hair nearest the parting the longest. As that is going to be brought all the way across and needs to connect with the opposite side!
My dad just chooses random guards and cuts as fast as possible. I’ve never had a real haircut unfortunately
