- Welcome to Whenuapai, a suburb and aerodrome located in northwestern Auckland, New Zealand. Whenuapai is 23km west of Auckland CBD. A semi-rural environment, Whenuapai is transforming to an urbanised community with housing developments.
Whenuapai is most well known for being the home to RNZAF Base Auckland - Royal New Zealand Air Force base. The base formerly comprised two separate airfields, Whenuapai and Hobsonville. The personnel strength is around 1500.
Whenuapai has access to both the Northern and Northwestern motorways. The surrounding suburbs for Whenuapai includes: Greenhithe, Riverhead, Kumeu, Westgate, Hobsonville, and Huapai.

This walk starts on Brigham Creek Road and heads towards Whenuapai Air Force Base.
