Climbing Mount St. Helens via Worm Flows Trail on Father's Day

This video documents the adventures of me and my 9 year-old son on Mount St. Helens on June 19, 2022. It's been a colder Spring this year, so the Summer route (Monitor Ridge) was not open yet. We took the Winter route (Worm Flows) which began as a forest trail up to Chocolate Falls. Then, as it passed the tree line, the trail followed a ridge of boulders. The last third of the route was a steep climb in the snow. We reached the false summit, but it was too dangerous to continue to the true summit. The glissading back down made up for the poor visibility at the top.
