- Sharing a cinematic ambient improv with the Moog Matriarch. 4 parts recorded into Ableton Live 12. Meems did a vocal pass a couple days later. Mixed in Ableton with a hybrid setup. Additional FX from Valhalla DSP and Ableton built in FX.

I've been eyeballing the Matriarch for a good while now. After a rather disastrous experience with the new Taiga (and its replacement; I mea culpa'd as an idiot after that one, but I really think there's a bad batch of them out there of which I got two), I'm a little gun shy, but maybe by year's end.

Is that with the new keyboard version of the Taiga? Because we have one on the way to test out and see if it fits in the studio. What happened with yours?
That's the one. Little to no sound generation at all, like the filter was all the way closed and wouldn't open up (when there was any sound). I spent hours on it, and couldn't get basic waves to play. I'd decided I was simply too dumb for it, but after shipping back the replacement unit, I saw Dr. MIx' video where he took it out of the box and was immediately able to use it without any issues.
It remains entirely possible that I'm just a lunkhead. 😉
