Victim’s backstory has to be one of the most emotional things on Alan’s channel and the music just made everything more emotional. You did an amazing job Scott.
It’s sort of like King Orange in AVM where we thought he was just a bad guy until we got his backstory and realized he had a reason for what he was doing.
As soon as Victim was drawn the second time and I heard your synths swelling to life, I was like, “oh no. Scott Buckley is cooking and I’m about to suffer”
Victim and TCO. All had harsh lives. TSC is the only one who was able to not get the harsh life is cause he spoke. For the first time, a stickfigure spoke to their creator which changed everything
Not only that, Alan grew up and became a designer and he saw in the stickman (TSC) a potential assistant - an artist who could make his job easier. That's all.
I suppose Alan Becker changed for the better, he spoke with TSC, at that moment he wanted to get away and forget about the "living stickfigures", the origin of TSC is still unknown because it is just a drawing that came to life on its own, Alan Becker did not give him a name, and Alan Becker wanted to kill him because he thought he was destroying his computer, when in reality he was just having fun with the other 4 Stickfigures, the Alan Becker that TSC met is very different from the Alan Becker that Victim met, that first Alan Becker a monster, he had fun making him suffer, but then he made the mistake of creating TCO and TDL, these 2 somehow avenged Victim, and traumatized Alan Becker in some way, they made him Alan Becker will change by force, they made him more aware of who he messes with and that Stickfigures also have life and feelings, Alan Becker improved and TSC met him at that point
Remember two years ago when nobody even remembered Victim since all anyone cared about was The Chosen One, The Dark Lord and The Second Coming? Now I'd like to see anyone even attempt to forget him after this.
I was always a victim fan from the moment I saw the original as a kid! I hope The Second Coming's predecessors get to star in future videos outside of "Animator vs Animation", or at least in shorts. The Stick gang is good but there's plenty of videos with them already.
Yes, yes i actually did forgot about Victim. When he appeared in ep 9 AVA i was sooooo confused who Victim was. And thats where i saw someone commented Victim. Again, I wasn't familiar and when I checked and watched it back, I teared at his story. Pretty sad😔
Victim doesn't know the whole story. He thinks TCO is working with Alan, the man who he still thinks as pure evil. He doesn't realize how much in common TCO had with Victim. Had they met under different circumstances. I imagine TCO and Victim would have become friends.
That’s the thing, nobody knows the full story, not even Alan, the creator of Victim, TCO, TDL, & TSC. Alan doesn’t know what Victim did after he escaped. Victim doesn’t know that the TCO has endured the same pain as he has. TCO doesn’t even realize what adventures TSC & his friends have had in minecraft. And TSC doesn’t know the past of Alan.
Scott, it is SO good to have you back! And oh my GOD, the usage of leitmotifs, specifically victim's, mashed in with a new score... WOW. There is nobody better in the business than you, Scott!
I love that this revealed the leitmotif isn't for Victim's ego being satiated in moments of power. But for Victim being haunted by connections to the endless suffering he went through in the past coming back to haunt him, and causing him to be afraid again. He seems to have embraced it as part of his identity in a twisted way, since it now plays whenever anything about him is on screen after the flashback. When it only used to play whenever he was suffering before then. It likely happened at this very moment 16:14
this episode made me cry. i didnt cry on the first watch, but i did on the second. watching them have a good life is what does it for me, because i know its going to be torn away. i wish victim and mitsi could have just lived like that forever.
The _'A good Life'_ part of the composition is so upbeat and happy, and that honestly just makes it one of the most utterly heartbreaking parts of the entire thing. Because he did. Victim did have a good life. He had his happiness. And he lost it. God, it hurts so much.
The entire section sounds like it was ripped right out of a Ghibli movie. The whimsical vibes do such a good job at setting the stage for all the happiness to be brutally torn away.
The first section of this soundtrack is honestly some of my favorite music you've ever made. It starts off as a very general theme that portrays the sadness of Victim getting tortured, but as the track goes on, it harkens to some of the other Victim notifs you've composed. It really does send the message that Alan's torment is really what set things into motion and made Victim into who he is now.
Okay, I'm finally emotionally stable enough to come back and listen to this (that episode broke me LOL). This soundtrack is GORGEOUS. It makes me think that Victim's motif is less his theme and more a theme of trauma and hurt, since it plays during Alan's torture and TCO and TDL's destruction of Newgrounds. Also, I LOVE the part where Victim's bouncing through the internet in his rocket (2:50). The drums really stood out to me when I watched it for the first time. Great job as always Scott!
Really, *really* like the intro. Perfectly represents the reveals of how much victim suffered and how the world the characters live in actually works. Fantastic as always!
Incredible! Scott, your music elevates Alan Becker & his team's work so much. This episode especially was an emotional experience that wouldn't be possible without your work.
The music is awesome, the story is emotional, the characters are amazingly well-written..i have absolutely no words to describe this masterpiece. Thank you, Scott, for making this animation 100% better.
WOO INCREDIBLE JOB WITH THIS ONE SCOTT, I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!! This one's very dark and emotional.. I love when the drums hit at 2:52, its such a bop. And the addition of maj7's when mitsi appears at 4:56 is just perfect, it adds so much emotion I LOVE IT
this music definitely helped the episode a ton. without it, the episode wouldve felt dead and emotionless. my favorite parts are mitsi and the endings pieces, they really pull the whole episode together. this music was sentimental for me, which i enjoyed a lot. its refreshing to actually hear your music properly in the background lol.
I think Victim has experienced all the terrible things during he entire existence, from being tortured to being traumatized. And from the Agent's point of view, he saw that Mitsi was killed by TCO when it was actually TDL who did it while TCO was just following along because he already knew that what TDL was doing was wrong... until all the misunderstandings continued to bring until when TCO and Alan teamed up to defeat TDL where one of Rocket corp's informan saw the two of them while TDL was nowhere to be seen.
No doubt, out of every characters backstory on other animations I've watched, Victim's has to be the best one. The touch is just insane. It really feels like he's actually alive, doing his life, wanted love. Seeking for a normal life that he wants for so long, after he got it... He lost it because of TCO (could be TDL but hey it's Victim's POV). The feelings potrayed from Victim is really good, the journey he went is just dang I feel so bad for bro losing so much from his life. His name really fits to the addition of "Victim" and it's just sad.
you are a legend scott, its amazing how u show us the good emotions on the beautiful part of the history and the sad feelings on its dark side trough your music!
King Orange had his backstory, but with seeing Victim and the cross-references between other of the iconic stick figures made it stand out the most. The music makes it as the cherry on top.
I'm so glad you were brought on for this episode instead of the other composers. Don't get me wrong, they did great for their respective series, but this episode just had to have that special flair and emotional quality that only you provide. Also I love the specific synthesizers being used as leitmotifs for Victim now, gives him so much personality.
I love listening to these, because there are subtleties that you miss when you’re immersed in the visuals and story of the episode. These are always so good and I can’t wait for the next one so we can get even more excellent beats

Pictures and sound tell more than a thousand words ever could. What you are doing with Alan's team is the best example of this. Keep it up Scott. This perfect mix brings people to tears when watching.
Poor Victim, he suffered from the first moment of his life for a long time, and when he finally manages to escape and rebuild his life (but still having traumas from his past) TCO and TDL appear and destroy everything he achieved with time and effort, in addition to losing his beloved. And if that were not enough, he sees TCO with Alan, the one who made his life impossible in the beginning. It's normal that he is like this, normal that he is so angry, in fact, it seems to me that he is containing himself quite a bit, it seems to me that he is keeping his calm quite a bit tbh...

This your best work for Alan by far! I have listened to it more than 100 times since the original video was released and I never get tired of it. The different parts of the song convey the emotions of the parts of the video they're for PERFECTLY. Mitsi's theme that plays at the times when she's important is just perfect. Incredible job as usual Scott. Your music makes all of Alan's animations 10x better, and this one heightened the emotions I felt watching it so incredibly. The emotional parts of the video wouldn't have nearly as much impact at ALL without this incredible soundtrack. Thank you, Scott!
Ever since I've heard your work in Alan's videos, especially the AVM and AVA series, My taste in music drastically shifted towards orchestrals and scores alike. But yours in particular have been a major part in building these memories of the series; So Thank you so much for giving us these magnificent works of art!!
Victim's revenge theme is just chilling. "Aftermath" 14:46 Should be titled, "Just Victim" (cool theater voice) - "He's coming. His revenge. The justice. The Victim."
Victim is just a broken guy, they took away the only thing he loved in his hole life and to make it worse, it was because of what he feared and hated the most.

Victim's story is really tragic. He was abused and traumatized, he met the love of his life, then she was unfairly taken away from him, then he sees the same "murderer" with the "abuser". Both have changed, but Victim doesn't know it, he just thinks they're the same as before and they're here to make him suffer forever. Victim's really been through a whole lot.

Ever since I've heard your work in Alan's videos, especially the AVM and AVA series, My taste in music drastically shifted towards orchestrals and scores alike. But yours in particular have been a major part in building these memories of the series;
So Thank you so much for giving us these magnificent works of art!!
You guys crushed this. Sold every moment and I have nothing but respect for all the work that went on behind the scenes
Dang this was a good episode
And the music really sold it
Well done
Music changes everything is a true thing.
It's even sad that they treated the victim this way...😢
This makes me cry, great job
Well done with the Soundtrack. The key moments even have the titles.
3:22 ~ 3:54 MITSI'S Theme reference
3:55 ~ 4:07 CREATION leitmotif (imo)
4:55 ~ 5:07 MITSI'S Theme reference 2
5:27 ~ 6:15 MITSI'S Theme
There's another Mitsi leitmotif at 10:31
Victim's revenge theme is just chilling. "Aftermath" 14:46
Should be titled, "Just Victim"
(cool theater voice) - "He's coming. His revenge. The justice. The Victim."
SCOTT BUCKLEY THE GOAT WITH ANOTHER BANGER

the aftermath it make me goosebumb
Very beautiful, thank you so much for this score! Just incredible work.
Victim is just a broken guy, they took away the only thing he loved in his hole life and to make it worse, it was because of what he feared and hated the most.
So you already know im gonna be looping this for the next 3-5 weeks okay bye I love you scott please never die
Scott's music are fire!
You did such a good job with this ost, amazing job once again scott!!👏🎵
hell yeah the soundtrack dropped
Thank you so much to make Alan's animations more impactful and epic !! ❤❤❤❤
You know
I have just a small feeling tha TSC will be the key to possibly bringing back Mitsi
If he drew her I’m pretty sure that would do the trick
Agreed. I feel like they wouldn't have made her a plush if she didn't even last a full episode.
@@niftywoodpeckerYeah true.
Although so does The Dark Lord, and we all know what happened to him…
So it’s possible, bur not 100% guaranteed that she would be brought back.
@@cuiscopperThe dark lord was an older character though
Yes, he can do it, but she may lose her memory
@@NguyenMinh792 that is very possible
But I’m sure they would find a way to help build back her memories
That or they will just make new memories with her from there on
My own captions/sections(/call it however u want)

Please, do suggestions!
El mejor desarrollo de personaje
Victim's story is really tragic. He was abused and traumatized, he met the love of his life, then she was unfairly taken away from him, then he sees the same "murderer" with the "abuser". Both have changed, but Victim doesn't know it, he just thinks they're the same as before and they're here to make him suffer forever. Victim's really been through a whole lot.
Victim probably HATES his birthday because thats when he was created only to die for almost a whole year straight
He truly was the victim…
I’m just surprised I chouldnt guess it was him months back
Muchas gracias Scott 😀
This + AVA eps 11 = peak cinema ✋️😤🤚
hits different when you remember that you were there when the first AvA happened
I feel sorry for the Victim...
Same
It really makes Alan the bad guy, doesn’t it?
@@JackMedi775it does like I mean he created the stick figures basically just to torture them so I don't think victim should be thought of as a antagonist
@gabemiiboi victim is an antagonist, but not a villain. Characters like them are why the distinction is so important
@@WhoStoleKirya73 fair point but I think we can all agree Alan was a monster
ending scene gave me chills cuz of the music. u did great
