Happy to see everyone! 9:43 I’m not sure Cataldi is right for captain because he is a rotation player. I like the fact he is one of our own, a Laziali, but the captain should be starting. I liked Romagnoli because he loves the club and has experience as a captain and will be starting most games.

I agree. He's proven in Serie A and scored some wonderful goals at Verona. And was useful at Napoli whenever they actually played him. Plus his father Diego has history at the club. But I think Lazio already turned it down and going for Dia instead. Which is probably a big mistake.
I'm not too thrilled about our summer market and I don't expect us to do much this season. I actually think we might be mid table or thereabouts. With this squad I don't see us finishing higher than 7th or 6th at the very best. But we can also easily finish 8th, 9th, 10th or even worse.
Initially I was ok with transfers like Tchaouna, Noslin and Tavares. Because I thought they were just extras for squad depth and competition. Players with upside who might become useful contributors and push useless players like Taty or Isaksen down the pecking line. Unfortunately, they are our MAIN TRANSFERS. With Dia also reportedly coming in. Which is another transfer I am not exicited about.
Same old same old at Lazio. We were linked with players like Greenwood and Simeone and Samardzic...And instead we're scrapping the bottom of the barrel at relegated clubs like Salarnitana or Verona. Castrovilli? Dele-Bashiru? Never heard of these guys. Same thing as past windows. Linked with Zielinski, Milik, De Paul, Shaqiri, etc....And instead bring in Isaksen, Taty, Muriqi, etc.
This club isn't going anywhere under Lotito. He's a cheapskate. The transfer policy is woeful. His plan is to buy as many cheap obscure players as possible, in blind hopes that some of them pan out and make the transition to the next level. And while there are cases of success with this like when we brought in SMS or Luis Alberto....More times than not the strategy fails.
Meanwhile Roma are bringing in players such as Lukaku, Dybala, Dovbyk, etc.
What I will say is that I watched a few clips of some of these players like Tchaouna and Noslin and they are speedy and do have some skills. So I think at minimum we will become a faster and more athletic and physical side going forward. And you would imagine Lazio are a better side than Verona or Salernitana which might also help bring the best out of these players by giving them better players to work around. My worry is whether they will be able to produce decent numbers at the end of the day. Because with Ciro, SMS and Alberto now all gone that's basically taking out 75% of our goal production of the past years. And that will have to be replaced or we're going to struggle. Can the new lads do it? I hope so but I'm not too optimistic atm.
