Amritpal Singh was a Khalistani terrorist who came back to India after receiving training from ISI to destabilize the region of Punjab.
But he found almost negligible ground support in Punjab. Hence he resorted to false propaganda on social media and only thing he managed to do was give peaceful farmers' protest a violent angle.
And the charges on which he was locked weren't superfluous. Attack on police station, kidnapping Sikh people who voiced against him and so on. But surely these must be what you guys call 'freedom of expression'.

As an indian we support freedom of expression of our investigation agency. They are like activists to us. We want more of these agent to practice their freedom of speech.
Everyone should have right to choose. Sikhs aren’t terrorists but most of them support independent Sikh state. Most of then won’t admit it on camera but they want to rule their state like Maharaja Ranjit Singh Sahib Ji (the best ruler in the world according to the BBC) where all Sikhs, Hindus, Muslims, Christians and all others would live in peace, love and respect for each other. The province of Quebec was given right to choose and so was Scotland then why not Punjab.
