I grew up in Eugene, and back then we got the Portland stations in addition to our own local. Tom Peterson was widely known by us Eugenians. Little did I know I would move up to Portland decades later, and live within walking distance of his SE 82nd & Foster location. Ramblin Rod was pretty huge down there too. I miss those days. Great upload!
4:10 Denise Kovacevic -- man, that's a long time ago. She left Portland for ABC's Good Morning América. 4:13 And a very young Jeff Gianola -- when he was on KATU.
There was a barber shop next to Tom Peterson's store in Portland. Every Saturday, you could get a free haircut, paid for by Tom Peterson, if you got a flat top like his. My Father, the cheap bastard that he was, would drive 35 miles from Woodburn, just to get a free haircut. Seriously.
The stuff is insanely expensive
