It's considered a "honour" to question about financial strength when looking for a husband. Is this from Islam?
Islam has a different perspective about honour which contradicts with what people call "ghairat".
About earning, Islam obliged men to work for earning a living which is different from working to accumulate wealth and foolishly believing that your financial strength gives you honour/confidence. People who are obsessed about being financially strong will get a big ego,grow hard heartedness and have cruel motivations. Such a person can't treat his wife and children kindly because his heart has no such capacity.
Don't ask men to be financially self reliant,it's not a virtue in Islam. Ask them to work for a living and rely on Allah's generosity. If you face occasional financial difficulty, just ask your friends/relatives, this does not decrease your honour/manhood as far as Islam is concerned. But if you believe in the cultural definition of honour, Allah will not give any honour( izzah) to you. Such a person will be a restless person and depressed person.
As for women, obedience to husband is a must. You must try to have this attitude. You can't decide when you can be obedient or base your obedience on how well the husband is doing financially. Such selfish and ruthless women are not worthy of being mothers. Husband's obligation is to earn a living. Period.
Those who have anger, hatred and grudges should purify their hearts before marriage. Marital physical relations requires Rahma and Wudd(strong love). If you have toxic emotions, these two blessings won't be given. Sexual relations cannot be performed by the power of ego and arrogance. This can ruin the couple and children from this couple can get unknown diseases.
Playing with hormones and taking performance enhancing drugs drives your ego up and this even detrimental to your imaan, behaviour and relations.
How to purify your heart?
Do a lot of istighfar and recite kalima. And listen to Quran recitation of a pious person.
Belief in Allah correctly will give you honour,confidence and courage.

It's considered a "honour" to question about financial strength when looking for a husband. Is this from Islam?
Islam has a different perspective about honour which contradicts with what people call "ghairat".
About earning, Islam obliged men to work for earning a living which is different from working to accumulate wealth and foolishly believing that your financial strength gives you honour/confidence. People who are obsessed about being financially strong will get a big ego,grow hard heartedness and have cruel motivations. Such a person can't treat his wife and children kindly because his heart has no such capacity.
Don't ask men to be financially self reliant,it's not a virtue in Islam. Ask them to work for a living and rely on Allah's generosity. If you face occasional financial difficulty, just ask your friends/relatives, this does not decrease your honour/manhood as far as Islam is concerned. But if you believe in the cultural definition of honour, Allah will not give any honour( izzah) to you. Such a person will be a restless person and depressed person.
As for women, obedience to husband is a must. You must try to have this attitude. You can't decide when you can be obedient or base your obedience on how well the husband is doing financially. Such selfish and ruthless women are not worthy of being mothers. Husband's obligation is to earn a living. Period.
Those who have anger, hatred and grudges should purify their hearts before marriage. Marital physical relations requires Rahma and Wudd(strong love). If you have toxic emotions, these two blessings won't be given. Sexual relations cannot be performed by the power of ego and arrogance. This can ruin the couple and children from this couple can get unknown diseases.
Playing with hormones and taking performance enhancing drugs drives your ego up and this even detrimental to your imaan, behaviour and relations.
How to purify your heart?
Do a lot of istighfar and recite kalima. And listen to Quran recitation of a pious person.
Belief in Allah correctly will give you honour,confidence and courage.

@@samik3962 they know it all...actually its my own decision to live with him...actually this relationship has made me v weak...i have lost all my confidence and decision making power and have lot of fears in my mind ..when i talk my voice gets very weak and fearful and finally after knowing and judging my condition i had decided to go to a psycho therapist 2,3 months back and now i m feeling much better
