- 07.23.2024 | 9:11 PM | TUSTIN - A MINI Cooper driver was injured after crashing into a burger joint, Tuesday night.
The white MINI Cooper lost control and careened into Peter's Gourmade Burgers, a burger restaurant located in the 14300 block of Newport Avenue, around 9:11 PM.
When authorities arrived they located the MINI Cooper lodged inside the restaurant along with major damage from the collision.
The MINI's apparent driver, a male adult, was located on the ground nearby and treated by medics before being rushed to OC Global Medical Center. His condition was not immediately known.
The force of the collision left the restaurant in dissaray and required firefighters to shore up the building before working to dislodge the MINI.
No other injures were reported and the restaurant had closed a little over an hour prior to the collision.
The cause of the collision is under investigation though speed appears to have played a role.

I saw him speed through the intersection of walnut and newport at high speed. I hope he has good insurance or else they are going to sue the shit out of him for property damage and loss of sales.

We really wish we could . Unfortunately people tend to steal what isn't there's and repost without credit. The watermark has put a stop to that practice. We may consider a members only section for completely raw video (no watermark, blurring, and posted sooner) but not sure if there is enough interest for that.
I guess his cravings for Peter's burgers couldn't be stopped.
Speeding north on Newport Blvd and then decided to hang a left onto McFadden but couldn't keep it on the road?
@@quinby123 looks like an older man to me. White hair. Maybe medical emergency while driving.
Mini Cooper driver just had to speed away, thought he'd be Anne Heche for a day...
good thing his hazard lights are on
Hazards turn on automatically in a crash, and horn honking too. It's a safety feature designed to alert others to a wrecked vehicle that might be in a ditch or otherwise off the roadway and not necessarily visible.
In the past, many people would wreck and not be found for days (thusly dying or remaining severely injured and untreated).
That‘s my backyard! T town!
So freakin sad🥴
