found it, its called port by the sea... i also just found a new indie show called mechwest, which is clearly inspired by pixar i dont know how the hell an indie team made such a high detail show and expect to maintain that level of detail for a show but im cheering for em.

sadly could not find the indie show i was thinking of, but in searching i found another one id forgotten, monkey wrench, ^^; which if im honest is an even better series, and has three episodes out.
