It’s common for K-Pop groups to give leadership roles to the eldest member or the “main” member. That person is always the center, can sing, dance, rap, and often be bilingual. HYBE Labels (Big Hit) did an excellent job picking the leader. What makes RM such a great leader is his communication skills and attitude. Throughout the years BTS has gone through tremendous amount of backlash, scandals, and negativity. And most recently, the Grammys. For most artists, it’s easy to be angry and outraged. It’s almost expected but RM didn’t speak negatively. As a leader he knows when to jump in and when to back off. He never “steals” attention away from other members. I think that’s what makes him such an incredible leader. Out of all members, I would say that he has my upmost respect.
Bts used to fight a lot during early years, this fight was nothing compared to other fights. Tae and Jin literally made up the next day and tae joked about kidnapping Jin to go to vacation together 😂 Tae and jimin have had fights where they didn’t talk to each other for weeks but now they all laugh about it lol
Namjoon is a great leader. Intelligent, calm and measured, selfless, and very wise. I think it was not always easy for him to lead the group when they begin, because he is not the oldest (Jin and Suga are older than him), and we know age is a big deal in Korea. And the maknae line was so young at this time (and probably difficult to manage). As Jimin said some years ago, they were all very loud Lol ! But RM do his best, et learned how to be a great leader, listening to his teamates, and in return, they all listening to him and have a huge respect for him. All the seven guys learned from each other, they all bring something to the table, not only to the group, but to each member. They always want to do better in their teamwork, et became a better person. They have grown beautifuly, together for the best. They all have a important and distinct role in the band, the more you know them and the obvious it is.
I'll be really honest right now. In my opinion RM is the foundation and the core of BTS. BTS would not exist without any of the members but especially Namjoon. Big hit was really lucky to found him and also really smart for making him a leader. I doubt that BTS would be in this place where they are right now if it weren't for Namjoon. I have so much respect for him as a person, a leader and a musician.
I totally see your point absolutely. I would also argue Yoongi and Jhope are also the foundation. I would say Yoongi for is love and passion for music. Jhope is the soul of BTS. He is the vitamin and detail oriented. Plus RM did say Jhope is the second leader. Hopefully this makes sense.
@@amberpearce710 yeah I get it. BTS started very rap heavy and hip-hop inspired, that's the essence of their identity. And each member brings something special to BTS, something that can't be replaced by other member. Still, I really can't imagine anyone else as a leader beside Namjoon. His maturity, humility and eloquence is what really stands out for me when I look at BTS in their early days.
@@amberpearce710 of course you are right. Bang pd after all called them the three musical pillars of bangtan. They are the foundation. And rm is at the centre of that foundation. And the vocal line is what I personally would call the "front men" or the face of bts. They pull in the fans.
actually, the one who asked the question came from another entertainment agency..it's a smear campaign even if the rumor was already debunked etc..this always happens everytime they released a new album
Everyone in the group has the utmost respect for RM's position as leader, even RM. He understands that his position requires certain things of him, and sometimes those things might put him in a position where he has to come down on the eldest of the group, but he doesn't shy away from fulfilling his role. It can't be easy for him. I honestly think the only reason any of the members are able to do what they do,at the level that they do it, is because they have the rest of the members for support. RM is a perfect leader because BTS (and HYBE) allows him to be. Edit: There are a few leadership roles within BTS and their close bond and desire to understand one another allows them to traverse these roles almost seamlessly.
it was later found out that the reporter had connections towards the YG label. YG sent one of their own reporter to try to sabotage BTS by accusing them of plagiarism also alot of people dont know but when BTS was starting to get big, a ton of other agencies tries to buy BTS from their label so they could do what SM did to Infinite. Infinite is a kpop group that was very popular at one point and SM see them as rivals to EXO so they brought Infinite from their company and then do nothing to Infinite don't give them new albums, comeback, or anything to do for years so eventually Infinite's popularity died down it's disgusting. Good thing Bang PD didn't give up BTS because if he did, he could receive ton alot of money because back then Bighit/ Hybe company was not a big company and was bankrupt at one point but now look how Hybe is doing

As goofy as he is remember Joonie is their leader and the main musical/idea pillar they are built on. They all have their roles on the team and they very much respect his. JK has said over and over he’ll follow anywhere Joon leads. But that one clip of V and Jin.. All I can hear is Cameron’s voice from the dubbed jokes especially the Namjoon part “why are we even fighting when we have a Min Yoongi looking like a 3 course meal 24/7” I die laughing just thinking about it. As an aside I’ve been a PR person for medium sized biotech companies and in tech in my past jobs and yes. School can be annoying but having a broad basis of knowledge and being prepared is so important. Communication, laws, art, history, science it all plays in. BTS seems to feel the same although they don’t like the high pressure way of Korean education they have all finished their bachelors (with their busy schedules even) and 6 of them are finishing up their Masters. I suspect RM and maybe a few others might get phds. Suga has said before he wants to learn more about counseling etc.
Professionalism is a respect for their field, their fans, their agency. I see so many "artists" acting like idiots, disrespecting fans (cOUGH COUGH ending concerts when throwing a tantrum). BTS will always do 110% no matter waht they do.
Plagiarism Issue BTS sold out wemberly stadium (90,0000 capacity) and became the 12th artist in the history to ever do so, it was a very big deal since they did it while being Korean artists, so that press conference was very important and a lot of people around the world were asking them questions which is why YG ENTERTAINMENT (blackpink's company) sent a reporter to their conference to ask the plagiarism question to ruin it which is why the reporter got a lot of hate to try to embarrass bts in front of the whole world while himself being a Korean. The plagiarism issue was not a big deal and the members were not even aware of it because the album he was talking about was released in 2016 and the press conference was in 2019, the issue was very small which was sorted out immediately and the artist who accused them had apologised already. YG entertainment along with other companies have a long history of shading BTS members because they are trying to rival their popularity but the members always react in the most dignified way.
On their early years, i know jimin was the person who had a temper issue. It was mentioned several times before by all or most of them. But that time they started to knew each other and of course with the martial arts background of Jimin they should fear because they didn't know each other so well that time. But overall they all get temper issues time by time. They are seven angels but like us they have their bad mood days and RM as a leader shall put that face to get some order.
