It’s easier to get past the potential shameful and negative feelings about doing things for yourself when this connection is made! I definitely have found a lot of freedom knowing this
This was so helpful for me. I would love to see a follow-up video with ideas on how to motivate or “remotivate” on a task or responsibility. For example, I have a job now where I have the creative freedom to pursue an idea and follow the momentum, but if I am forced to put it down for a week, thinking about it can become painful. (It’s definitely better than past jobs in my field, where tasks - requiring some creative thought and care - were presented with an air of, “Just do this one thing and get it done, quality is not important, ideally as soon as possible!” - definitely not motivating conditions!) Besides work, other recurring responsibilities that I can’t and don’t want to avoid include parenting and homemaking. Watching your video, I recognize that I’m empowered and present when I’m excited about really immersing myself in the thing, with an emphasis on quality, and thinking and talking about it, but more listless and checked out at other times. A solution that comes to mind is talking about each area of my life with someone, once or twice a week, and making sure it is in my thoughts in a motivating way.
Hi Kaylee - I too am an INFJ and 9w1. Glad I found your channel 🥰 this video is fantastic and brought me so much joy to hear you talking about motivation and realizing how frequently in my life I am now doing things that motivate me rather than evading pain (as I used to). Growth is a wonderful thing. You are very well spoken on this topic and I can’t wait to watch more of your videos!
I didn’t realise how many emotions I was having and didn’t even acknowledge those emotions or know they were happening. So many repressed feelings for me, and repressed ideas of who I want to be. It’s like I forget “me”.
"You have the responsibility to take care of yourself" powerful.

A very useful nugget: If you are feeling motivated, “reward” it by at least doing a bit of the thing right now.
