I actually did the opposite, I bought the BMW helmet which I loved. I find that full face helmets make me claustrophobic and I like the option of removing the front of the helmet, not only for the cooling wind on a hot day but I feel I can see more and be more in control, the helmet is very well made and light, the problem I had is that the communication wouldn’t connect to anything that wasn’t BMW which is very annoying. I was told that BMW helmets are made by SCHUBERTH, with that in mind I thought buying a Shuberth C5 would be upgrading, when I unboxed the Shuberth I was convinced I’d bought a Chinese copy, the lining had gaps in it showing the polystyrene shell, no matter what I do the visor won’t shut completely always leaving a 5mm gap at the bottom, I called the supplier who told me that the helmet had a barcode inside which I could swipe to check authenticity, it is actually a SCHUBERTH helmet but the quality compared to BMW is comparing night and day. The SCHUBERTH communication is great but it’s made by Sena so can’t be credited to SCHUBERTH, all in all 9/10 for BMW, 5/10 for Shuberth
Hi Priyange Fernando. Thank you very much for the video. I’m also owning a BMW System helmet 7 and I’m not comfortable with the big size/shape and the wind noise. If you don’t mind, I have two questions: 1.) is the wind noise canceling on C5 better than on BMW helmet? 2.) Do you have a BMW bike? If yes, is everything working when connecting the Schuberth? (Navi messages, phone, radio, music?) Thank you very much. Regards Chris
Hi, yes it is definitely silent than BMW system 7. About connections with BMW bike, I need to check it. I do not have a BMW bike. Rest works very well as Siri and Google voice integration is there. Music quality is also fine. If you have a possibility, do a long trial with the helmet. The shape is bit different than BMW. After the purchase you do not have much possibilities to change the inner padding other than buying them separately. Regards Priyange
got pair of schuberth 5c good few years ago very disappointed basically fell to bits within two years after first year 15thousand miles sent back for repair under warranty, end of second year same thing happened, just ditched them after that

Just removed the Shuberth C5 from box , first ride , totally disappointed , the visor is loose and can't stand open even at 40 km/hr speed 😡😡😡😡😡
Ups, looks like a defekt. You got guarantee right?
Sharp rating for previous schuberth models are poor
Hi Paul, sorry I have no experience with previous models. I must tell you. Schuberth after sale is poor.
I don't buy anything from BMW because they overcharge for all their products 👍
