Looking great. Really looking forward to seeing the next build video. Keep your files for your 3D printed engines nozzles and hangar bays. If you would be willing I would be interested paying you to print me some. Thanks Paul
nice one! I super detailed one of these kits 12 years ago and loved every minute of it. Just as a future tip, instead of scribing all those panel lines, you could be better off drawing them on with a mechanical pencil after painting using the smallest lead available in a 2H or similar. That way, you don't run the risk of messing up a scribe line and if you do screw up you can just rub it out and redo it. This is how I did the panels on my regular Star Destroyer and it looks way better too. Also, with the chips of styrene, try cutting them smaller and add some irregular clumping of extra detail to make it look less like stuck on bits of plastic and more like a purposeful structure. Just my 2cents
This is great, thanks very much for sharing! You are certainly giving me some ideas about my own kit (in the stash for some time now...). I love this kit for its crisp surface detail (even if not enough in places, as you show), although the detail in the engine parts is rather soft and clumsy. One pecurliar thing wih this kit is that there is no stand, nor any obvious spot to build one, without sacrificing some detail in the lower hull. I wonder how you are going to tackle that. Thanks again!
@@EagleSciFiModeler thanks, looking foward to see that - also looking forward to the whole series, especially the painting and weathering, when you get there - though I understand that this will take some time 🙂
Clone Wars Classic. If only someone would mold the Victory Class Star Destroyer that supplemented the Venator, but eventually got replaced by the Imperial Class.
You're living my dream. Mine rests on a Shelf of Shame with a lighting kit at the ready. If only my job didn't eat 2/3 of my waking life...

Thank Paul! I'd be glad to print you out some.

Great tip, I may add that in later!
Oh boy, I'm going to need this kit... It's a lot larger than I would have guessed. Can't wait to see this progress
@@scaleffect Thanks, I'm trying to take my time with it and do it right 🙂
I think that I've had mine for maybe ten years? I saw a couple of build videos of it and had to get one. I'll get to it one day!
@@JDsHouseofHobbies I built one several years ago, hopefully I can improve on it this time.
Have a great build.
Thanks!
The Imperial Fleet grows bigger!
Yes it does!

Thanks! I'm leaning towards using a projector mount for the stand...I should address that in the next video.

Thank you for not making Evergreen Styrene richer.
