Another tip i would add about the eye dropper tool. Hold shift and it will allow you to keep placing more and more of the item. This is very useful for clutter, decore, furniture etc. Some furniture like chairs etc will do it automatically for you. But the ones that don't just hold shift.
So instead of hitting "E" a bunch of times. Hit it once copy the item and hold shift when placing and voilà.
