Brian is so clever, his opinion on communicating emotion as a band, as a musician, as beeing the frontman is so true. That why, as I was only 11, I was beginining to learn English at school, and at the question: "What don't you like?" I answered: "I hate the music of nowadays". It was surely a very awkward way to say in just of few words that Ididn't like boys bands, girls bands.....they brought me no emotion at all.. I even drawn a punk, writing a graffiti on a wall (in my mind, it was a london brick wall): skinny, blond, disturbing in a way.....But the teacher loved it! And she asked if I wanted the drawing to remain in her classroom the next year, or if I wanted to bring it back home. It remained at school! I precised that at 11, I never really saw a punk, just had an idea of how he could look like.
MERCI Brian pour ton intelligence, ton humour, ta beauté, tu m'as tant inspirée pour bâtir ma propre identité. I precise: Brian speaks French fluently, it's such a pleasure to listen to him in Molière's tongue. I thank my parents for listening to the single radio that broadcasted "Every You Every Me" in France and did it until their 3rd album. Remember my very first listening in my parents'car back from the high school: "Is it a man or woman who is singing? WHO IS THIS WONDERFUL BAND???? Such a kind of high voltage suddenly in a too boring life: Emotions, curiosity, desire to understand the lyrics.....it was SO STRONG, SO POWERFUL. I own so much to this band and to Brian. I felt I had something inside me which only nedeed to be revealed to myself: I found it when I discovered Placebo. Hope you will be kind towards my writing in English on this beginning of evening in France. BELLE SOIREE A TOUS ET MERCI POUR AVOIR POSTE LA VIDEO!!!!
Thank you for sharing your entry into the world of Placebo 😊. We all have a special and personal experience. But still there is one thing in common in everything I have read about the first 'contact' with Placebo: the fact it is strong and immediate, almost like a shock. It’s strange 🙂 (but not surprising 😋). And yes, Brian’s a smart guy ^^
