  • Here we compare 2 of Crispi's best selling lightweight, non-insulated hunting boot options that are great for early season. They are similar in a lot of ways including excellent breathability, 100% waterproof, lightweight, and the same asymmetrical lacing system for accurate and precise fit.
In short, the Lapponia II will be the lighter weight and slightly more affordable option, and the Crispi Altitude GTX will be a little more durable and comfortable with its dual density polyurethane midsole.

Great comparison. I ended up with the Lapponia due to the Altitude not being offered with a wide option.

It’s the Altitude, not the Attiva, and the flex is 2.5. Who edited this?

Thanks for this review. Been eye balling the lapponias. With the tread being shallower on them, will that be an issue with tread wear?

Every site online says the altitude is a 2.5 flex, not a 3 flex as stated in the video. So which is it?

Why talk about the Attiva? You were reviewing the Altitude and Lapponia then went sideways with the Attiva.

I was told the laponia soles are very slick in rocky terrain ?… something about crispi using a different sole than in years past …
    Any truth to that ?

I have the Laponia and mainly use it for long hiking in the mountains. I can tell you that I have walked straight down large boulders at more than 45 degrees with no slippage at all. I was surprised how good the soles hold.

Should have did a retake on that one. You gave the wrong flex rating for the altitude and called it by the wrong name several times. 😢

I always find myself wondering why civilian boots use open hooks for lacing. I think they are terrible and can only see negatives there. Nothing is worse then your boot becomes lose in an absolute critical moment. There is a reason why the military only allows closed hooks. Its a shame, I would never buy these for that reason alone. Outside of that, they look really nice. Maybe some time on the future you will offer closed vs open hooks. Maybe you can explain your motivation for the open hooks? Is that really what people want or there is just nothing else available in this segment?

Maybe because civilians don’t find themselves in situations like the military does.

These Lapponias are junk. I burned through a pair in 3 months upland hunting. Seams are coming apart, stitching coming out, they leak, just absolutely trash.
