    15:28 A Bond is a payment you have to make for a pre-trial release (depending on the charges, and what the judge decides is warranted).
    It’s basically just a collateral payment made to ensure you will return to court when instructed to.
    If you can’t personally afford a bond payment (like if it was $100k or something), you can contact a bail bondsman who can put up the full amount of the bond, for which they generally charge a 10% non-refundable fee.
    At the conclusion of the trial, normally the bond gets refunded to the party that paid it (unless portions or all of the bond would be used to cover fines charged to the defendant in the case of a guilty verdict).
    TL:DR The $2,500 cash bond he was charged might seem low for his history of drunk/unlicensed driving, but it’s not the actual punishment he’s likely to receive at the conclusion of his court proceedings.
    Also, I would expect (or at the very least hope) that his car would be impounded, so that he isn’t eligible to get behind the wheel while he’s awaiting trial. The Department of Motor Vehicles can suspend/revoke driving privileges without having to wait for a trial outcome.

    Cops should have some disposable gloves too. Ones that go up past the elbow, just for situations like this. Normally, they will use normal medical gloves.

    • @T6Jacob
      @T6Jacob 11 днів тому +1

      Well they use disposable gloves all the time, but it isn’t really necessary to go up to the elbow. Would be a good idea though lol

    I don't know what the law is up there but when I was 19 I was charged with DWI even though I was half the legal limit and parked because at least here in Texas you can't have any alcohol in your system if you're underage and as a result I can tell you I had my license revoked for 6 months and had to go through a class to get it back so yeah I'm sure he's been prohibited for driving each time for a period but the judges just never made it permanent or locked him up longer term like they should've done considering I'm pretty sure we have a 3 strike rule here then it's off to long term jail or prison and it's very hard to get your license back and even then I know a buddy who had to have a breathalyzer installed on his ignition for his first offense and he was just driving on a empty beach which is considered a public road here thus was charged (he was underage and probably over the limit but again empty beach so jelly fish were in more danger than anyone) so yeah they're way more strict here or rather way more/too lenient there

    I live in Wisconsin and unfortunately OWI is basically a slap on the wrist. You will see people racking up a dozen OWI before anything is even done, if they havent hurt someone already. A lot of our judges here are a bit left leaning and let people off for almost no bond amounts or drop charges altogether. It really hinders the work our police do.

    It's a eye opening commentary about how full the corrections systems (jails and prisons) are in the US that guys like this are out and free. Mandatory drug offense minimum terms in prison and the sheer number of violent offenders have the prison systems at an overflowing level. Sad commentary on the land of the free and the home of the brave!!! Cheers. Scott L Ritchie

    Unless shitty Tony has another vehicle that one will be impounded and it may need repairs to drive. If he's able to post bail he's going to have those expenses. Tony doesn't seem the type to have lots of extra money laying around.

    I've lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 12-13 years. This city has some very violent parts and its only gotten worse since Biden & Kamala. Most of the violence only happens in certain areas where certain people tend to live.

      Well, I live in Colorado Springs and the only people that commit crimes around here are not brown or black. And if I remember right, the country that you live in used to be full of brown Indians and I don’t remember them just giving it to you guys. So let’s talk about who the most violent people in the world are because there are plenty of countries on very many different continents that would repeat exactly what I said.

    It might just be me, living in the US and seeing a lot of bad ending trigger cop videos, but it's a bit telling that they waited until they got a proper look at him before they deciding on a non-lethal weapon.
    Most people going on a high speed chase are either highly under the influence or have a "f the world! This is my last day!" mentality.
    A guy going on a chase that long, refusing to listen for so long while. could mean they're preparing and hyping themselves up to do something.
    So the switching to non-lethal after a proper look means they lowered their view of the threat level based on his appearance. Guessing if he was a minority they wouldn't have done so.
    Seen too much of that bull to not expect it at this point. I've seen police treat mass shooters to Burger King they wanted after killing people and a man bawling his eyes out on the floor begging them not to kill him, then fill him full of bullets because he was too drunk to move into the position they wanted him in on the floor properly.

      Viewer bias, really, 61.5 million police interactions in 2018, but all it takes is a couple of videos to make you think cops are trigger happy.

    • @willvr4
      @willvr4 11 днів тому

      @@bohicagaming4462 Yeah, the proper interactions aren't entertaining and don't make it to UA-cam.
      I'm not a huge fan of the cops, but the VAST majority of police officers will never use their gun during their entire career.

      Watching too much CNN. Look up the stats for yourself. Unarmed blks killed by police. Pretty sure last year it was like 10, but i could be a bit off. You should also consider 13% of the population commits 50% of the crime. Facts dont lie dude. Dont blame the police
