Well, this was full of gems. I seem to get stuck in my head a lot--will this work be worth my time? Will it get me somewhere? Will anyone ever want to read it or heaven forbid, pay me for it? I write, but switching between writing for pleasure and writing for work is where I falter. So my writer's block is more like, maybe I have poor work ethic or feel discouraged about the reward beyond the act of creating or collaborating. I get stuck at go, all this stuff I've written, which people will tell me is good, and I think I'm good, but I still am not any closer to any career developments. "Probiotic for your brain." "Find your moonwalk." "There's only one you." I loved it. You did inspire me to keep at it, but the pressure to make money... 😥 I love listening to you and your endles inquisitive nature. Thanks. Looking forward to the next one.
This was extremely helpful. I am currently finishing my degree and having to write a demonstration of a learning portfolio against 8 classes. While I can easily write to my experience, incorporating the various course concepts and drawing relationship to my experience has been a challenge. After listening to this, I decided to take the path of least resistance and write to my experience first and then go back to incorporate research where appropriate. If I am missing something, the assigned advisor is supposed to provide feedback on what is missing. I am struggling but confident I will get through. I will come back and comment on this once everything has been submitted. Thanks so much Karen Hunter, you're the best!

Excellent teaching! I find myself stuck on perfecting my writing from the onset and discover that I get lost in the weeds real quickly and fail at just getting “thought” on paper, right or wrong grammatically. Are you considering doing a segment on how to build a better vocabulary in writing?
The camera loves you. Great message. Very enlightening and enjoyable. How do you find a mentor? Lots of the folks we know about and look up to are very busy. Being public and known goes hand in hand with being busy or doing “mentoring” as a business. How do we find good people who aren’t public? Do you recommend paying a mentor? What if you don’t have money for that?
If you have an editor/ someone to bounce ideas off of, etc; what is to keep them from stealing your work? ? ? I have ideas in my head but haven’t taken a writing class cause I am afraid of having my work stolen ?

A mentor will find you. Get busy...people find people who are doing things.
