on JackSucksAtGeography we upload a range of easy to watch geography related games. We mainly play Sporcle games like "naming all 197 countries". I successfully learned all 197 countries and plan to learn more Geography trivia. On this channel I also play Geoguessr. This is a game that uses Google Street View to drop you in a random location and you have to work out exactly where you are on the worldwide map. Geoguessr was created in 2013. If you want to see more from Jack he uploads different content to many other UA-cam channels, linked above!

Yeah
Just in case anyone was confused, no *you* can't drive through the channel tunnel.
You can go through by train only, but there is a service tunnel that the employees driv up when needed.
To be fair you can get from the UK to France through the Channel tunnel and never leave your car. Not technically driving for all of it, but I can see how people might slip and call it that.
oh ok i just tried to figure out when and how the cars change the side of the road they are driving on
I went to the UK trought that tunnel

We actually had a war in Australia that was fought between an army of actual people and emus. Search it up, it is real and kinda crazy to think that it is a part of Australian history.
And I swear the humans technically lost
@@tableprinterdoor oh, no they just straight up lost, pretty sure emus are still a problem in some parts
As if we didn’t know that lol
That is very interesting
@@question_them no. Emus are endangered so most of them are being took care in zoos all around Australia. And the parts where they are still around they are barely a problem since they're so nice and peaceful unless you hurt them, if you hurt them let's just say ur gonna be like the men in that 2 man war
6:28 actually because of the water absorbing heat there is less upwards push from the hot air rising. Therefore it takes more energy for the birds to fly over it.
I don't think it has to do with sitting down or grabbing a snack . To my knowledge birds that travel long distance don't really eat or rest
I frequently look at my mug of tea and remind myself that water has a high heat capacity
I’m guessing that the reason Europe has so many battles is because they were the main people to record their history whereas there might’ve been many battles between natives in western America but it just wasn’t recorded
No one:
Jack: Let's just pick the Mediterranean ocean up and shove it on Australia because that's physically possible.
Specially that there is no such thing as "Mediterranean ocean"
6 year old me when my parents explained Brexit to me I thought the UK was literally moving out of Europe to somewhere else. And is as like when are they moving and my parents and in a few years cos they need to prepare so I pictured everyone in the UK packing up everything. And then everyone would get into the sea and push until they were far away from europe. They could have just explained it properly.
@@xxGracex I heard about Brexit from plague Inc and had the same idea for a few months
3:41 It's not sad in the slightest. We love our guns. It makes us more safe, and more free.

6:34 also, I think non-water-birds aren't very good at navigating through sea winds and unpredictable weather over oceans. Another possibility.
They stopped the big boring machines when they knew they were about to meet up and drilled/picked that little hole manually.
As soon as there was a tiny hole they stuck their hand through, then they made it bigger for the photo :)

Am i the only one concerned that jack just basically said down with the monarchy? Like, the queen could be watching this and thinking “off with his head”
0:23 It was already free, this change into a republic didn't change their status in the slightest. It was also done without a referendum, more than half of citizens were in favor of keeping the figurehead monarchy. Support for it was 64% in 2015.

6:14 Is It Just Me Or The Eagle Made An Italy Shaped Path?
i love how Jack thinks we can just put the Mediterranean on top of Australia
With enough effort, we definitely can't do that.
Saint-Louis-du-Ha!-Ha! is in my province, so I shall give some explanation.
The name comes from "ha-ha" : "A ha-ha (French: hâ-hâ or saut de loup) is a recessed landscape design element that creates a vertical barrier (particularly on one side) while preserving an uninterrupted view of the landscape beyond from the other side."(Wikipedia)
With time, the meaning of the word was lost on the villagers, who added the exclamation points because it resembled the laughing sound.
6:51 oh no jack, not again......
Bouvet island is owned by Norway btw. They even have their own flag emoji 🇧🇻 even though they don't have any population (yes the flag is the same as norway, but it's a different character lol)
7:54 what is the music
0:09 I laughed so hard at this, my Humor is broken.

"This isn't a mountain! This is just a guy staring at his phone whilst standing near a rather underwhelming water fountain!"

The Bouvet Island does have something to do with Norway actually :)
The island itself is not said to be a part of Norway but it belongs to Norway as a kind of colony!

If you are looking for interesting places to visit in the future there is a place in New Zealand called "Taumata-whakatangi-hangakoauau-o-tamatea-turi-pukakapiki-maunga-horo-nuku-pokai-whenua-kitanatahu", which translates into English as "the place where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, who slid, climbed and swallowed mountains, known as 'landeater’, played his flute to his loved one."
