Don't know if you ever tried it, but I've had alot of success in salt water by letting the jig settle to the bottom, then swing the rod back fast to get the bait up and real fast for about 4 ft. nd let free fall to bottom. Then let it settle vertical to the bottom and same thing all the way back. The fish seem to hit some time on the fall or at the the jerk and retrieve.
Standard pricing is 400$ + Gratuity for 2 anglers full day all tackle included . Additional rates and packages can be found in the website here . blueridgemusky.com/product/blue-ridge-musky-raft-driftboat-trip/
If I didn't explain it well, On the fall disengage your real and let fall straight down. I believe these fish see this and look at it and when you engage the real jerk hard and real foe several feet, the fish thinks its trying to get away.
There was one morning my Fiance" and I went out and moved 17 fish together in one morning. We had a couple of nippers that morning like you guys did but with all those fish we weren't able to put one in the boat.
I couldn't teach you anything about musky fishing, BUT I notice that you are fairly loud everytime you get a follow...watch Doug Wegner figure 8 compilation... something to note, his pokerface is uncanny, and he is VERY quiet about it. I think this will help you. Another old timer in Cali has caught countless record bass, and he swears by silence...he carpets his job boat. May only help a percent, but you know this game by now, every bit helps.
Well when I have anglers our that are new to musky fishing and they get a follow, I have to coach them through a figure 8 sometimes and that requires me to raise my voice sometimes . Again though , I don’t think those fish can hear me and even if they could , they are so focused on that bait they could care less .
@@BlueRidgeMusky I figured you were going to say they don't have ears, but I still recommend watching Wegner...I watched some old footage of my favorite, Jim Linder, and Wegner made them look like amateurs. The obvious difference was the longer rods for bigger eights, but the calm focus was next level. I'm in no way dogging you...you got the sauce my neighbor.

Sweet video man, I wish I saw that many fish every time I went out on the water!
It’s not always this good , but seeing fish is only half the game. You gota make them eat as well and these fish were being stubborn as heck 😂😂

Rig a short piece of solid wire leader material to the back hook hanger of your swimbait and add a stinger hook to it for those tail nippers.
Muskies will do that to you. Make you tear your hair out and yell curses but that's why we love them and come back for more.
Haha yep , Brent rigged up a treble trailer after the second short bite but they didn’t want to eat it after that 😂😂
It's a game of cat and mouse with both side thinking they're the cat.
Sometimes you just can't win. lol

Never seen so much failure in a 16 minute video.
