Let's say for the sake of the argument that she is able to sneak in to the city without getting caught, is able to find and get close to Alicent, is able talk to her without being captured, and then is able to convince her of her plan. What happens next? When Alicent goes to Aegon and he's like "nah," then what? Go to the other members of the small council who were plotting with Otto to crown Aegon without her knowledge or consent?
@@Yanancien It’s a plot hole like I pointed out in the E02 also. The writers needed to show us that Rhaenyra was trying to avoid the war and taking every possible path to peace into consideration till the last moment she is convinced that there’s no path to peace now only war. But, she was offered terms of peace if she surrendered by Aegon in the beginning. Yet she rejected. Why? Because in her pov she was the declared heir, she was the one carrying the prophecy and it was Aegon that needed to surrender not her. What was the outcome? Her sone being dead. That’s the moment she should’ve marched to war. I mean I get it that she’s trying to prevent a bloody war and kinslaying but it shouldn’t take 3 episodes to make it clear that there’s no path to peace. It’s the same like writers trying to whitewash Rhaenys’s character from being reluctant to go to war after killing atleast 50-100 smallfolk at the dragonpit at Aegon’s coronation. It’s like she’s only focusing on avoiding being labeled a kinslayer but being a tyrant is okay. But them addressing the fact that now Alicent knows a 100% that she misinterpreted Viserys’s words to her own gains is good but it was irrelevant at this point of the story. Cause whether Alicent was in or out, others were planning on usurping the throne already. 🤷🏻♀️

Brothel scene clearly showed how Aegon had been the biggest bully towards Aemond from the beginning. Not Luke not Jace they were just kids following Aegon. I’ve been saying this from Episode 1, since after b&c Aemond is next in line to the throne and knowing his character arc, I’m 100% certain that he’s gonna roast Aegon’s ass at Rook’s Rest. Unless he is interrupted by someone or some reason, he will (atleast try to) finish Aegon after his fall after the battle.
New major character introduction…. Alys Rivers and another death foreshadowing 👌🏻 So happy to see Milly (young Rhaenyra) back in the season. I agree with your pov on Daemon seeing young Rhaenyra not the adult version in his vision. I think they tried to show us how badly Daemon is hurt by having broken the trust that Rhaenyra once had for him. Young Rhae is a version of Rhaenyra that was trusting Daemon and believing in him. So In his mind, it is something worse than any of the things he's done in the past. At Harrenhal,he's been haunted by what makes him feel worst about him self.
Solid episode to lay the foundation to the E04 where the major battle of the season takes place 😍🔥
