That crossed my mind yesterday when I woke up and seen the snow, you answered my unasked questions 😊. Just a quick one though, what happens if you have an {modern 8 gears} automatic, do they have a condition setting so you can tell it it’s snowy/icy so it can adjust the gearing? Or are they clever enough to know by the traction control?
@Hackitect the automatic I use for driving lessons has a lower gear for going down steep hills which is second gear. A modern car with 8 gears will have a low gear to slow you down going down steep hills. Before I bought the car, I took it for a test drive and found a steep hill and put it in the low gear and it slowed the car down and that is the gear you would move off when you're in the snow. Safe driving for life.
