    2:25 no actually wasn't a very good night for Dantonio. He was just starting to have a heart attack and would be back on the sidelines for a few months.

    Pause the video at 55 seconds. Delay of game. Also, MSU got really lucky two ND players tripped over themselves. They would have been in position to make a play.

    • @pronkb000
      @pronkb000 8 років тому +7

      +MellowHype That's right on the cusp of the acceptable margin of error for delay of game. The standard officiating mechanic is the official in question watches the play clock, then when it hits 0, only then does he turn his attention to the snap. If the ball is still on the ground, it's DOG. Otherwise, the play goes.

    • @MrJlo1017
      @MrJlo1017 8 років тому

      So, if he takes his sweet ass time to turn around and helps MSU out, then it is ok? That sounds like a dumb rule. It would be alot less biased if they just went off of the clock. 0:00 and it is a penalty.

    • @MasterDBChief
      @MasterDBChief 7 років тому +1

      MrJlo1017 I know this is 9 months later, but that's just the rule. the official has to see the clock hit zero, then shift to looking at the ball and only then if it still hasn't moved it's a penalty

    • @Rlind416
      @Rlind416 7 років тому

      Well it's kind of hard to watch two things at once. So yes the referee by rule watches the play clock until it hits zero then looks to see if the ball was snapped. And watch the actual play clock on the scoreboard. ESPNs clock is moving a half second faster so it's not as close to delay of game as it seemed.
      And are you saying MSU didn't deserve to win because ND had two players so incompetent that they tripped over each other covering the same guy? And left Charlie Gnaty open?

      The ESPN clock isn't synced with the stadium clock. You can tell if you pause the video and look at both.
