Ha! I am also terrible at shade matching online but still do it🤔 Shade aside, I think this looks great on you as you first apply it! You are right-I don’t think I have ever heard of anyone else talk about the ELF Flawless foundation! I jusy checked-they have a shade I think I can wear. Oh man, I am not even watching your foundation review and I found another one I want to try😅 *I will have a million foundations soon* The blushes look nice, but I have since found I reach for my powder blushes more so, I’ll skip. I have the JP liquid blushes and I like them. I am very interested in that mascara! Also I think the blushes looked really nice. I don’t see the patchiness! But since you mentioned it happening, this just solidifies my decision to only get the mascara. Another great and thorough video❤
I really dont like the foundation either. I'm the same age and skin type as you and it feels so heavy. It always looks so bad around my nose and my powder doesn't sit right on it. I like the spf in it but it needs to perform better. I'm probably going to declutter it.
I think this is has to be a very hard product to color match. I was having difficulty picking a color (I went with 205N and it hasn't come yet). I have looked at swatches and videos demoing this product, and it seems a lot of people go with the 120N and find it way too light! It's because they make the 205N look so dark. It's really odd!
I'm sure it's hard to take realistic photos of shades, but it's frequently the reason I get the wrong shade in my foundations. Ulta does have a tool to shade match via pictures online, I think. Sephora may have one, too.
Right now, my favorite affordable foundations for dry skin are the Revlon Illuminanace Foundation and the Loreal Super Blendable foundation. Both of those are medium buildable.
I absolutely LOVE that new elf mascara!!! It's the only mascara that hasn't flaked or smudged on me in years, high or low end.
I love the dual brush with the little concealer one. I bought another one yesterday.
Got 2 now. Well worth the price for me.
Thanks for the review of these new elf products, particularly the foundation. Happy New Year to you and your family!
i needed this review thx

I totally agree! I was hoping for better. Only one foundation I like from elf and that's the satin finish foundation no one talks about.
I had the SAME problem with the camo CC cream
New version is definitely more hydrating but still to thick for me, unfortunately.
It is def not “hydrating” or Dewey. I’m still seeing if it’s better … or worse 🙈😂
Great review! I'm not a fan of the camo products. Their mascaras are just ok. I do like the putty blushes ❤. Happy holidays to you and your family!
Thank you! Happy holidays to you and yours, as well.
I don’t like returning makeup so I mix foundations, lipsticks & blushes. I create some really pretty custom blush shades.
That's a really good idea. I might try that.
The “original” elf cc cream looked terrible on me as well. I WANTED to love it. But I just couldn’t. It was awful.

What foundations would you recommend for dry skin?
What kind of coverage?
