Sorry, Dr Talley, I can’t agree King Jehoiachin is important in that aspect of seeing the deliverer promised in Genesis 3:15. In fact, it’s the opposite because The Lord cursed his father In Jeremiah 36:30 Jeremiah 36:30 NIV [30] Therefore this is what the Lord says about Jehoiakim king of Judah: He will have no one to sit on the throne of David; his body will be thrown out and exposed to the heat by day and the frost by night. So in fact, the deliverer would not come from this line originated from Solomon but instead from another David’s son Nathan (Luke 3:31). If we don’t see Jesus born from Mary originated from Nathan, we shall indeed disappointed by Jeremiah 36:30😂 What we can see from Jehoiachin is only the faithfulness of The Lord to those who were willing to be exiled to Babylon because they were well satisfied there even after exile. Praise the Lord.
@@GinaRM444 Yes, that is the superficial clue but Joseph did not have blood relationship with Jesus and so God’s curse still stands. Furthermore, Matthew 1 is an account afterwards for us Christian. If you are a Jew at that time, how can you see the deliverer when God cursed Jehoiakim? When God did not want to show Himself in The Book of Esther, this means it’s not the timing to reveal Himself at the Babylonian exiles as well. From all these clues, I still stand for what I can see from The Bible.
Jesus came from the line of Judah, not the line David ( Genesis 49:8-12), == Aaron & Elisheba daughter of Aminadah sister of Naason Prince of Judah this is the line ( Exodus 6:23). you are right Jehoiakim was cursed and lost the signet ring, and Zerubbabel received the signet ring from G-D (Haggai 2:21-23 only as governor (not as a king)Joseph know not Mary till AFTER Jesus was born, == Mary was the seed of ( Judah & LEVI = Priest and king ) == plus seed of G-D, from Jehoiachin to Ezra 1:1 was the end of 70 years of captivity (597-527 BC). Jesus was the end of the line of the Zodak priesthood. ===== Shabbat--Shalom.
Seems a bit confusing from your message. If Jesus was from Judah, He could not be from Levi, the elder brother of Judah, sons of Jacob (Israel) according to Genesis 35:23. Yes, Jesus is forever King and Priest but His priesthood is in the order of Melchizedek (Hebrews 5:6, 10; 6:20). So Jesus is from Judah, David and Mary. That’s the correct genealogy line. Praise the Lord.
Sorry you need to read Exodus 6:23, this combined the house of (Judah and Levi )to make Jesus ( king and priest ) Aarons =Zodak priesthood. === @@eddielau5677
Thank you, love God's Truth!
Glory to God looking forward to His day

the curse of Genesis 3:15 was fulfilled in JOHN 13:18 and Psalm 41:8-9.
