Abstract: The AECO sector heavily relies on accurate product data, essential for adhering to budget, safety, and regulations. The EU’s Green Deal emphasizes sustainable construction, increasing the need for efficient data exchange. Currently, the industry is challenged by fragmented and non-standardized product data from manufacturers, leading to project delays. This study introduces a new framework employing the Information Delivery Specification (IDS) and buildingSMART Data Dictionary (bsDD) to create a standardized, efficient data retrieval system. It aims to provide consistent, up-to-date information, address existing inefficiencies in the sector, and align with the Green Deal's sustainability goals."
