- The World Bank commemorated the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia on May 20, 2024, in Washington, D.C., USA.
- Global carbon emissions pricing raised a record USD 104 billion in 2023, as reported by the World Bank’s 11th annual report titled “State and Trends of Carbon Pricing 2024.”
- The World Bank report titled “Recipe for a Livable Planet: Achieving Net Zero Emissions in the Agrifood System” states that annual investments of USD 260 billion are needed to halve agrifood emissions by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
