1:40 to 3:15---the start of Dan and Blair's friendship. They have the best friendship in the whole series. They are also probably the smartest characters on the show as well.
You know I think the reason why Dan was actually kinda protective of Blair was because he heard her outburst in season 1 her insecurities. This is why I believe that Dan understand Blair more then half of the people in her social circle.
Let's just all agree that they are what the writers truly wanted all along and that stupid hormonal teens were the reason why they had to make Chair happen. THERE IS WAY TOO MUCH FORESHADOWING.

idk. if the writers really wanted this pair to be the endgame, then they're wrong to have had waited so long for this pair to come through. most viewers by then have already been attached to chuckxblair when danxblair happened.

It's probably that in season 1 original plot wanted Dan/Blair and Nate/Serena as an endgame? I remember that the first promo were just about them four. No Jenny, no Chuck. Also writers said that Chuck was just a recurring character and probably for one or two seasons.
MortenLongbottom I think Nate would have ended with Jenny because in season one Nate and Jenny had hardly any scenes in contrast to the other characters. Chaces characters storyline wasn’t going anywhere after Taylor left. Plus nothing was stopping Serena and Nate from ending together.
MortenLongbottom Blair and Dan are a healthy relationship. I refuse to accept they both returned to toxic relationships, so I end it in my mind on one of their good episodes.
This is the only couple on GG that has had the most build-up. They start of as enemies in S1, frenemies in S2 and S3 but then begin to warm up to each other, and now in S4 they have become much more closer as friends. Dan has already fallen for her but Blair will realize that she has been in denial about her true feelings about him. She is running from something that truly scares her and that is why she wants to be with Chuck since he is the safer choice and knows he would always choose her....
I always enjoy them in scenes together, the insults, the advice they give each other and the friendship they had. They are cute together too. Dair forever.
Like what if the writers knew from the beginning (and intended on it) that she and Dan would ultimately end up together? I love 3:47 so much of how good and natural they look together (like a married couple).
bubblez94 That’s what was intended I thought. Later, it became a huge producer debacle with one pushing for D/B to be endgame and the other advocating C/B. Even the Leighton and Penn were apparently in support of D/B because it represented their evolution as characters, ones who were in a healthy relationship with their equal.
It honestly makes so much sense if these two become endgame. It will be such a amazing way to end the series cause it will give us some type of closure to the whole UES vs Brooklyn theme that GG has had from the beginning.
