Keeping the forearms, and elbows close together throughout the swing will make you naturally allow your forearms to roll(backswing and follow through). This will feel VERY strange, if you’re someone that is trying to keep the face square to the arch during the entire swing. Trust me. I’m that guy. lol. I use very little forearm rotation, and I can hit target very consistently. However, it’s a huge effort to create speed, and my strike will suffer at times, also. I’ve experimented with naturally allowing forearm rotation throughout my swing. The effortless speed, and crisp strikes feel amazing. But, my direction feels very unpredictable. I never really feel where the face is, during the swing. I realize that it’s the “correct” way to swing the club, but I hate not knowing where it’s going. lol. I hope this makes sense to ya, Eric. Love your content, bro.
Hey Matt! You CAN....depends on how OPEN or CLOSED your clubface is EARLIER. If you close it more EARLIER (like a Viktor Holland) then NO you wouldn't do this as much for fade. If you have it less closed like Vijay Singh then YES you can still do this and just make sure path is LEFT if face to get cut!
I just joined for the online lessons. But I would really like to have a live lesson. It is my birthday week and I have a lot of days off so if you could schedule some thing that would be great.
Luv the feel of chest up, elbow down! Thanks Eric!
You got it Anthony!! Thanks for being here with us!
