What is the spacing of the ladder wires? and wire diameter? (AWG#14?)

Wondering why the feedpoint is midway of the top horizontal wire and not at the vertex of the 2 fiberglass poles at the bottom? Are you using openwire feedline from the gray box to your radio shack?
Second look at video gives me a better understanding of how this loop is fed and why. Thanks for sharing.
