      I tried to do that but my files are 60 FPS. Is that possible to change it to 24 FPS and do this fast zoom effect. Please advise and educate me on this - Thank you

    • @Brad_West
      @Brad_West  2 роки тому +1

      You you can absolutely do that. You can drop those clips onto a 24fps or 30fps timeline and do the same thing and it will work perfectly. On a 30fps timeline it might be pretty quick with a duration of 3 frames per clip so you could try 4. Thanks for watching! 😊🙏🏼

    • @travel_paradise
      @travel_paradise 2 роки тому

      @@Brad_West Thank you, but i am not sure i can do that. Can you please recommend any video about changing the 60fps to 24 or 30fps?

    • @Brad_West
      @Brad_West  2 роки тому +1

      FCP does it automatically for you. When you create a new project, make sure you set the frame rate manually to 24 or 30fps and when you drop the clips on the timeline, FCP automatically adjusts playback for that frame rate 😊👍🏼

  • @axlent123

    When I shoot specifically for this affect, I might consider the subject and where it is placed in the frame. My thinking is this… shooting at varying heights from the ground and it editing place those images from low to high, so in playback the images will zoom in but from a low perspective to high…
    I might give it a go at Disneyland where there are hundreds of possible locations to film for this technique.

    • @Brad_West
      @Brad_West  2 роки тому

      Glad you enjoyed it 😊👊🏼
      Yeah you can. You can open both projects and then drag the timelines from one to the other library to another by dropping it on the event in the browser window. Hope that helps! 🤞🏼

      @@Brad_West Thank you Brad, my intentions here were to work in chapters in my montage and I think it would be easier to create compounds clips and drag them from one event to my main project after.

    Thank you very much for the great video. However, I'm getting desperate. When I have copied the attributes with "command C" and want to transfer them to all other images with "shift/command/ V", they are not inserted in everything. What could be the reason for this?

    Another cool tip ! Thank you ! ( Question: when I highlight all my clips of different lengths, and set them to 3 frames each, they shorten - however, I am left with grey blank spaces between clips indicating original length of the clip. What am I doing wrong ? Thank you )

      @@Brad_West Hello hope this helps "El Mono" You need to First Group them by pressing (Command G, then you can move unto the next step of 3 seconds long and it will work) you then just Ungroup them by using (Shift-Command-G) IF you want to have them back as individual clips . Espero que ayude Mono :)
