- Almost scammed in Jamaica? We are back on the Hip Strip on the search for the best food in Jamaica. We found two incredible vendors at the end of the strip who had some of the best Jerk I've tried. Heading back we ran into a bit of a tense situation with some major miscommunications. 🇯🇲 🦀

I appreciate how David handles these unpleasant situations with class, and doesn't bash the country for them, knowing there are bad apples everywhere, and I'm glad he doesn't let it stop him from coming back.

Whenever I go into a new restaurant that say they are Jamaican and the menu says GOAT CURRY OR CHICKEN CURRY I run cause I know for sure its not a Jamaican restaurant. Cant fool me.

My mom was born in Jamaica. My dad was born in saint Vincent. Myself was born in Havana Cuba.

Thats you and your experience, I go to Jamaica every summer, its the best experiences vs any other island i have travelled to in the Caribbean. Its like most Islands are imitating Jamaican culture because 10 years ago when i travelled to different islands they were completely different. Last year i went to some and what i liked about them changed. Even the foods are now cooked like Jamaican food. I prefer Jamaica's originality.

As a matter of fact jamaica lags behind many other islands....that's why jamaicans migrate there and not the other way around, you should see how they kick and scream in the airport when being deported. They brag about Jamaica 🇯🇲 but many of them don't seem to want to live there 😕

All the way down on hip strip you'll come upon it where there is an intersection, about 15-20 minutes walk down from where we were staying near Doctors Cave.
