@@mortkebab2849 Ha ha. Not an American. People sometimes ask me where I'd like to travel in the world. I only have one answer -- anywhere that's not America.
Once again - beautiful work Sir! Great to see you using your sanding rig (that I watched you build last night when I should really have been sleeping!!). The philosophy of restore not replace has so many plusses - the development/engagement of wonderful skills, the obvious environmental benefits and in most cases, you wind up with a fully functional item that was built to a far higher standard than a modern version. I applaud you again for bringing your skills into view to inspire others! Many regards and thank you from Sydney, Aust - Dave
You really should get or make yourself a sandblaster. A small cabinet, small gun, bag of garnet grit, air from compressor, eazy peasy. VERY USEFUL for restorations.
Hello my friend, it was a very nice restoration work, congratulations, the recycling is excellent, good luck to your hands, use it in good days, stay well my friend

Excellent restoration! Just a small point: paper should be placed between the grinding wheels (both sides) and the retaining washers. This helps protect against wheel cracking when tightening and important for your safety.
The sound difference from hand spinning at 1:01 to turning it on at 9:13 is so satisfying. Course you couldn't even plug it in at the start. Way to save a great one. #throwawaythethrowawayculture

Всегда пожалуйста, мне нравятся видео с реставрациями и ценю людей которые делают эту работу, буду ждать новых видео у тебя все круто получается, продолжай в том же духе👍👍👍👍
I know this is an old video, so comments may not get read, but three safety issues here.. 1. Never, ever reuse an old grinding wheel without first testing for cracks, you could end up with a face full of shrapnel as it explodes. 2. All grinding wheels should be mounted with “blotters” - thick paper ‘washers’ - either side of the grinding-wheel to equalise the clamping forces on the wheel. 3. Don’t slow the wheel once motor is shut off by grinding on it, it takes the wheel out of balance by taking more material off one place in the wheel. Nice restoration, but unsafe wheel maintenance. Very soon I’m going to be able to brag that I subscribed whilst you were still under 500. A faultless restoration in my book, and it certainly looked brilliant finished.

Do you think you could have spent a minute on the power switch plate? ;) Nice one, dude, but change those wheels before you put it to serious use. You need to make more vids for us.

Should not have reused the old emery wheels, especially after hitting them with a hammer.

Excellent! Down to the last detail!
Could you explain what the blackening process was, was it anodization or something else?
Of course. This is a very ancient method. Gives black color and protects against corrosion. I used linen oil.
Very nice. What are you putting the hot parts into? That's to get the black color, correct? Thanks.
Thnx , i put them in to Linen oil(linseed oil)
Indeed to get dark color
