People don’t understand how weight works. Canelo is naturally a small guy but he built himself at 168 for years now. He fought at 175 and was in the ring with arguably 2 of the best in that weight class history. So asking Crawford to come up at 168 just like that with no tuneup, no time to get properly used to fighting at that weight is ridiculous
The big question then is: Why doesn't Canelo take the fight with Bud, given that Bud has been pushing for it publicly for a while now? Is there something Kyrone doesn't know about (that Canelo does)?
This seems to be the consensus. But with Crawford's crazy ass it probably makes him want to fight him even more with people saying that. My take is, fight Jermell at 154. Or Tim Tszyu. If he beats them in dramatic fashion then I'll entertain it more seriously.

I think Crawford gets them if he puts the weight on the right way. I think he's a better athlete overall, and I think he can use his wrestling experience to move Canelo in ways Canelo isn't used to. It's a good matchup and I'm excited to see it.
GGG couldn’t shake canelo so what makes u think bud could hurt him. Only if he catches him way off gaurd which he’s good at. But still the power ain’t there.
Sparring is like working out. Everybody looks good sparring or practicing no matter what the sport. The practice ring is a laboratory for trial & era. You don't tap that acute do or die mentality that gets you in the zone. Then there's the power of a thousand eyes plus, which can drain you or drive you. Lastly every fighter has to believe their gonna win. They down play 65 wins by the wear of it, but the moment they get in the ring with a guy who beat down so many they notice he doesn't have to pump himself up. He's got those eyes as described by Quint in Jaws: "lifeless dark eyes like a dolls eyes. When he comes at ya he doesn't seem to be living till he bites ya", or in Canelo's case crushes any part he can of you. Crawford had that aura at his natural weight, but suddenly he's a small fish in a much bigger tank. Worse yet his punches did nothing to Madrimov 3 weight classes down from Canelo. Hitting a guy with your best shot & him not even flinching can disarm you in a blink of an eye because ya got nothing more. Canelo will bull doze em & Budd has no escape, except for a sudden nap.
Guys get out your damn feelings he’s black he went against his own and kept it 10000% real u heard it from the guy that sparred both.. Crawford keep it up your gonna end up worse than Charlo Canelo on the black tour now.
Finally someone with brains knows if this fight took place Crawford is getting brain damage after boxing with canelo .that’s if he’s not planning to do what charlo did
Sparring is not the same as a real 12 rounds boxing match, sometimes boxers don't even go 50 % when sparring so how can u say that about who'll win bro
What I find fascinating is that folks (those picking Canelo and those picking Crawford) only seem to bring up the Floyd vs Canelo fight when citing an example. They do it for different reasons. Those picking Bud see that fight as proof and those picking Canelo suggest that the catchweight makes that fight irrelevant. The fight I don’t hear folks mentioning is that Cotto fight. Cotto went the distance in a close and good fight. Cotto was shorter and slower than Crawford yet he hung with Canelo for 12 rounds. Cotto, while an ATG, was not a defensive master, decent but no Floyd or Whitaker. Sure Canelo is bigger but he is not longer. Also while Canelo knocked Khan out, Khan was beating him and Canelo use smarts to set him up. He didn’t just walk through him.
So sparing makes you an expert on both. I say just let it happen. I have seen boxers that have spared with other fighters claiming they beat them and when they get in a real match get demolished. It's all conjecture at this point. I don't think Canelo is the better fighter however, that weight difference is serious for Crawford.
With the exception of Bivol you'll notice after every Canelo fight he looks like he wasn't in one. The guy has the frame for 168, but even he lost a lil with the weight gain, as will Crawford & anyone else else who stretches their physical limit. One might gain a lil power, but they lose speed & reflex time. They have to shift to peekaboo, so their arms will get pounded more making them more cautious & reduce what ever success they had at counter punching. Crawford will be hit harder than ever before. Canelo can take a punch better than anyone I've ever seen & from hitters 5 weight classes above Crawfords natural weight. Crawford can cash in with much less risk. There's far more down side to this fight than up.
Even though are very different I want to see that fight between power and skill , but I think canelo can hurt Crawford, is ok though, Crawford can have piece of a pie
Canelo always implies that Benavidez is a "weight bully," which is simply ridiculous since Canelo has been fighting mostly smaller guys since his loss to Bivol. Munguia came up in weight to fight him, and then there was Charlo and now Crawford. Canelo has managed to turn the sport of boxing into a joke.
David would not get past Jaime Mungia. David went the distance with Plant. Jaime went the distance with Canelo. Plant got TKOd by Canelo. A little more analysis will give you your answers.
So basically he's saying despite Bud's skills, size mattered in their spars. He knows how well he took Bud's shots and how well Bud took his. Bud's mega competitive according to Shakur, Keyshawn, Porter, and Adamas so you can presume Bud was in there trying.
Same shit I've been saying. I'd love to see Crawford piece Canelo up, but I think it's unlikely. If I were a betting man I'd have to bet on Canelo to take the W.
if crawford is so confident he can beat canelo at 168 and his fans think he can knock canelo out ,they should make him fight jamie mungial or david benevidez there is no difference canelo is king in that division so bud can fight the smaller guys to get the shot at canelo right its not difficult ,i want him and benevidaz lets see wossop 😂😂😂
Its difficult because canelo is clever as well. He’ll punch any body part he can hit. With canelos speed, skill , size and power it would be very hard for crawford. Crawford can only match him in skill and speed but power, size and chin makes a whole lot of difference. Canelo is a really good fighter really good and smart. Craford got way over his head on this one. After beating spence he probably thought he can legitimately win at higher weights. Its too early too late for all of that. Welter is where crawford reigns
lol this has happened many times throughout the years where the smaller man has gone up and won. Hell Roy Jones won the heavy weight title. Sugar Ray Leonard won the light heavy weight title. And others have done it. It’s not impossible or improbable…
I've watched Crawford's career since amateurs. Only fights of Canelo I saw before leaving GB was VS Floyd and GGG. IMO Bud can box him we have seen Canelo get boxed tf up. We've seen Bud get dropped but we also seen him get up. It would be nice to see if Canelo can. My money is on bud but my boxing knowledge knows Canelo will win by judges i mean score cards.
If canelo weighed 168 and crawford weighed whatever he wants. I dont think it will be as hard as people think. The problem is the less heavy guy having to gain weight. It will slow him down. He's not accustomed to heavier body weight at an ELITE level. Make no mistake. A 147 pound crawford can hurt canelo. Speed, power, impact, technique, translates with relative weight. 168 and 147 are more similar than different. These two guys both walk around naturally near 180 pounds. Let them fight as is. When Mayweather fought Cotto (154 pound title), he said he only weighed 143 pounds. He stated his entire 147 career was fought at 143 pounds.
The way i see it, if Bud moves up to 168lbs with zero tunes ups I give Bud a very little chance of beating Canelo. But if Bud moves up to 160 and beats a credible boxer like Janibek or Lara and then goes up to 168 and beats a guy like Plant or Ryder in a better fashion than Canelo, only then i say we have a fight a solid 50/50.
If Canelo is so skilled, then why isn't he fighting Benavidez? This is why a Benavidez vs Canelo should be made, instead of a Crawford. If Canelo is too focused on a fighter who is much too small for him, then that mean Canelo is really ducking the much competitive Benavidez.
Don’t we need this fight either way? I mean….just to measure the bar for the “weight classes for a reason” theory. Every decade or so we need a reminder. With that said, I got Crawford all the way. Amir Khan was giving Canelo problems until he got caught. It can happen
Only thing I can say about this is he going off Crawford that fought Porter he wasn’t in his peak form at 147. Now the camp when he was preparing for Spence is different you can see how in shape and how he was fully grown into 147. Looked like a 154 pounder when he fought Spence.

Black fighters are not like Mexican fans..they tell the truth because we love the sweet science we dont lie because we have to support as fan bois.I am a Andre Ward fan but he lost that first fight to Kovalev..I watched it live in Manhattan and was pissed after and then they said Ward won I was ooops bad judging.I also had GGG winning that one against Canelo and I also had Erislandy Lara in a draw in the Canelo fight LETS JUST BE HONEST PEOPLE NO FAN BOI SH*T
agreed 100% on all 3 fights.
He broke that down. Canelo is not just bigger and stronger, but he has exceptional skill as well.
Why doesbt anybody ask why Crawford doesnt defend against Ennis?
Bud Crawford got my support! 💪🏾
Canelo all day 😊
Sure...but does he have your delusion?
Crawford is undeafed because his resume is full of tomato cans!! Hes smaller and older than charlo!!! Green machine dropped that clown
YEAH AHA. You ain't gonna be in there with him...These punches can literally hurt or kill. These are the ELITE in the world...
Crawford is not agraid of anything! Very humble hall of famer. much respect
I still got my money on Crawford!! That nigga a different!
Until it’s fight night and you change your mind
Gon head and file for bankruptcy cause Crawford getting slept into retirement so he can enjoy the rest of his life with his wife and Brady bunch of kids
@@themarathoncontinues2289 what will make me change on fight night?
@@Jtonio97 Crawford skill set is on a different level! If canelo was chasing greatness he would meet Crawford halfway. He know the only thing he has in his toolbox is his size in a fight against Crawford.
"That nigga diffrent" is not enough to beat Canelo.😂😂😂
Why do crawfords gloves always have issues fighg night???
Crawford never fourght a bigger guy.. he will get knock out.. like khan against canelo
Every time Bud moves up in weight his power translates to the next division 💯
Who did he KO at 154?
People don’t understand how weight works. Canelo is naturally a small guy but he built himself at 168 for years now. He fought at 175 and was in the ring with arguably 2 of the best in that weight class history. So asking Crawford to come up at 168 just like that with no tuneup, no time to get properly used to fighting at that weight is ridiculous
Canelo is literally doing what Crawford wants to do. Even though Canelo fought at 175, he is Very small for that weight class.
EXACTLY
The big question then is: Why doesn't Canelo take the fight with Bud, given that Bud has been pushing for it publicly for a while now? Is there something Kyrone doesn't know about (that Canelo does)?
This seems to be the consensus. But with Crawford's crazy ass it probably makes him want to fight him even more with people saying that.
My take is, fight Jermell at 154. Or Tim Tszyu. If he beats them in dramatic fashion then I'll entertain it more seriously.
My take is this... If Crawford is so 100% confident in jumping up to 168 and beating Canelo.
Than jump up to 168 and fight John Ryder first and prove to everyone that you can hang in that weight class
. Canelo already said he's not interested in fighting Bud...
Bud beating the shit out of Ryder will force Canelo into having no choice but to fight Bud.
@@__JASON__. Not a bad idea. However I don't think it would work. If Crawford jumps to 168 and washes John Ryder people will say He's juicing or something.
Guys like Crawford, Monster Inoue etc, people will always find something to say. That's just how it goes. They do the same thing to Canelo. Nothing will ever be enough.
@@__JASON__.This is asinine who TF is John Ryder?
@@m.danielmills7091 Crawford is Gifted AF and if he whoops Ryder ass especially even worse than Canelo did. Than he should be absolutely praised and worshiped for it. No excuses should be made for Bud winning.
Haters always gonna hate. The haters should never be acknowledged.
Bud vs Ryder would answer LOTS of questions for BOTH fanbases and would create MASSIVE interest for a future Canelo fight 🤔
@@m.danielmills7091and if Ryders beats Crawford ass then what ? Y’all gonna it’s the weight lmao😂
I think Crawford gets them if he puts the weight on the right way.
I think he's a better athlete overall, and I think he can use his wrestling experience to move Canelo in ways Canelo isn't used to.
It's a good matchup and I'm excited to see it.
Moving two weight classes is a tall order for Crawford.
Who won?
Canelo is use to 168 bud has to gain weight but maintain it while training . And stay heavy . Its impossible
Guys get out your damn feelings he’s black he went against his own and kept it 10000% real u heard it from the guy that sparred both.. Crawford keep it up your gonna end up worse than Charlo Canelo on the black tour now.
I wish Jermell would have tried harder. It looked like Canelo did feel his punch when he finally did throw a good shot.
Finally someone with brains knows if this fight took place Crawford is getting brain damage after boxing with canelo .that’s if he’s not planning to do what charlo did
Crawford walk around at one eighty same as boots if not bigger. Canelo TBC a real threat and that’s a problem
Walk around weight different from fighting weight...
Man Canelo beating the inspiration out of Crawford
GGG was a knockout king, and couldn't put down Canelo.
I don't see Crawford having the size/strength to do what GGG couldn't....
Canelo fighting Bivol shows why we have weight classes.
And Bivol never rocked him. Canelo got a chin on him..
But Canelo KO’d Kovlev at 175…why did size not play a part then.. still think it’s a tough fight for Bud. But let’s see it..
David -vs- Saul
NOTHING ELSE!!!
Crawford is a world class wrestler that leaning on Crawford is. Nothing Crawford will keep canceling off balance while sticking him
Can you elaborate more?
This most elaborate duck in boxing history.. they helped each other duck
Its sparring. No way you can determine anything other then what was being worked on at that time .
After Crawford done with Canelo he gonna go face fury .
Canelo beats the shit outta Crawford, Crawford fanboys need to stop gassin their boy before he gets hurt😅
Got my money on Bud! Canelo is proud man, he will try to fight Bud like Spence did
If this shit go down I betting the house on bud😂
Prepare to be homeless.
Bro is about to be a homeless mechanic 😂
Canelo always implies that Benavidez is a "weight bully," which is simply ridiculous since Canelo has been fighting mostly smaller guys since his loss to Bivol. Munguia came up in weight to fight him, and then there was Charlo and now Crawford. Canelo has managed to turn the sport of boxing into a joke.
We want canelo vs David. We shouldn’t entertain bud vs canelo til bud at least have a couple fights at 154
💯
🤝🏽 time for canelo to take on winner of Benavidez vs Andrade
David would not get past Jaime Mungia. David went the distance with Plant. Jaime went the distance with Canelo. Plant got TKOd by Canelo. A little more analysis will give you your answers.
So basically he's saying despite Bud's skills, size mattered in their spars. He knows how well he took Bud's shots and how well Bud took his. Bud's mega competitive according to Shakur, Keyshawn, Porter, and Adamas so you can presume Bud was in there trying.
Wat? Bud doesn't try that hard in sparring he let others work look it up
Same shit I've been saying. I'd love to see Crawford piece Canelo up, but I think it's unlikely. If I were a betting man I'd have to bet on Canelo to take the W.
I'd never bet against crawdaddy
you a rainbow fasho.
@@Jeremiah.2humble and you probably bet on spence
If they fight iam getting paid
if crawford is so confident he can beat canelo at 168 and his fans think he can knock canelo out ,they should make him fight jamie mungial or david benevidez there is no difference canelo is king in that division so bud can fight the smaller guys to get the shot at canelo right its not difficult ,i want him and benevidaz lets see wossop 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 He won’t make it to Canelo!
a big great guy always beats a small great guy
Its difficult because canelo is clever as well. He’ll punch any body part he can hit. With canelos speed, skill , size and power it would be very hard for crawford. Crawford can only match him in skill and speed but power, size and chin makes a whole lot of difference. Canelo is a really good fighter really good and smart. Craford got way over his head on this one. After beating spence he probably thought he can legitimately win at higher weights. Its too early too late for all of that. Welter is where crawford reigns
I hope Bud dont fight Spence.I hope he fights either Boots,Jermell,or Tzyu.
And Canelo fights Benavidez next then fights Morrell or Berlanga.
Yet Timothy ,andre and pauli dont understand that...mybe punchdrunk boxers?
Jermell didnt stand a chance when moving up in weight and even Canelo couldn't handle. He only moved up 7lbs vs Bivol I think
lol this has happened many times throughout the years where the smaller man has gone up and won. Hell Roy Jones won the heavy weight title. Sugar Ray Leonard won the light heavy weight title. And others have done it. It’s not impossible or improbable…
Unless Father Time creeps up on Canelo, it's a wrap for Buddy.
Even if, and thats just and if, Crawford has more skill, its not enough to overcome Canelos skill and size.
Size and Age. Crawford not active enough and he’s approaching 40!
They mention skills and size. But rarely tell u its bout a mans mind and heart. Lol
How would canelo win that’s the real question with single punches break down the fight bet he won’t put money on canelo
@juanocampo2262 bet me so I can take ya money what city you in
If canelo weighed 168 and crawford weighed whatever he wants.
Seems that EVERYBODY is giving Crawford NO SHOT in winning this fight. Crawford is the HUGE UNDERDOG since Buster Douglas!!!
The way i see it, if Bud moves up to 168lbs with zero tunes ups I give Bud a very little chance of beating Canelo. But if Bud moves up to 160 and beats a credible boxer like Janibek or Lara and then goes up to 168 and beats a guy like Plant or Ryder in a better fashion than Canelo, only then i say we have a fight a solid 50/50.
crawford 36 its now or never. but Crawford loses to Canelo regardless
Crawford going out like Amir Khan if he fights Canelo
If Canelo is so skilled, then why isn't he fighting Benavidez? This is why a Benavidez vs Canelo should be made, instead of a Crawford. If Canelo is too focused on a fighter who is much too small for him, then that mean Canelo is really ducking the much competitive Benavidez.
Should have asked him about canelo and benavidez comparison
This opinion has more weight than all those keyboard warriors …
Don’t we need this fight either way? I mean….just to measure the bar for the “weight classes for a reason” theory. Every decade or so we need a reminder. With that said, I got Crawford all the way. Amir Khan was giving Canelo problems until he got caught. It can happen
👑🥊🥊👑🥊 TBudCrawford will need to close Canelo's eyes and break his nose, because Canelo Alvarez has a good beard. Hard to crack through Canelo's beard.

Only thing I can say about this is he going off Crawford that fought Porter he wasn’t in his peak form at 147. Now the camp when he was preparing for Spence is different you can see how in shape and how he was fully grown into 147. Looked like a 154 pounder when he fought Spence.
