This guy isn't supposed to be the most powerful character in kof but he's the hardest boss to defeat in a fighting game in entire kof series. In Mugen game I put every KOF bosses against him and none of them could stand a chance against him.

Here's the thing, Magaki although he was cheap it didn't take a lot of time to beat him, his health wasn't boosted like Rugal's, and he didn't have a genocide cutter to punish you whenever you jump
It's saying something about Magaki that a source-accurate version of him is able to stand toe-to-toe against Mugen characters with ease. This is why you don't put bullet hell in fighting games unless you make the entire game mechanic revolve around it/give a mechanic for avoiding it without getting plastered by the next wave of hell.

Doesn't Awakened Saiki's orb cage move have priority over other projectiles like Magaki's invisible fireballs? Also, he can *easily* get an infinite with that, even easier than Mukai's command grab infinite loop.

Most people have played the console version of this game I dare you to play the arcade version @ £1 a turn and the operator put this game on the hardest setting it make the console ver look like a joke I wanted to smash the cabinet to peaces😭
I also believe in the 'Home' Setting if he's hit all his fireballs on screen disappear. That alone makes the fight much more bearable as when they are still everywhere you really can't combo him.

Has the best theme in KOF boss history. But he's too fucking overpowered and I had to cheat by increasing Power Gauge to 100% in options and using Super Special Leader Moves constantly. Still trying to unlock all endings in XI too, but I don't like everyone (esp. Duck King, breakdancing bastard!).

in the console version you can choose if you want the arcade AI, or the console AI. And you are right there's a huge difference.

In the console version, magaki gives you more openings to attack him, in the arcade version he spams his attacks all day long.
