Dan you are one great teacher. Now since some schools are going to all virtual learning, your channel can be a useful tool for many schools to assign to their students. Flatbed trucks are good for the construction and home improvement industry.
At 12:28 you said that you might not reach the customer before you had to take your 8 hour break. At first I thought that meant no driving for 8 hours, but I guess you meant that after 8 hours driving you had to take a one hour break or thereabouts. The near miss reminded me of the driving in Iran, I was there working in the oil industry 3 times in 2003 and 2004. They have plenty of very old Mack trucks still working there. For the record, the regular Iranians are great people, it's the rulers that cause the problems.
Another great vid/ride....I love that you say: "we, our ,us"...really makes one feel as if they,re aboard with you....stay safe Dan and as always, thanks for the ride.
good thing you had a shoulder to dive onto. happened to me and my wife on our harley, lucky we had a tiny gravel patch to dive onto. 30 yrs of cdl driving pays off. stay safe Dan
Dan enjoyed the video as always , hope Cali is doing ok at home and I hope you and Teresa have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving..Be safe and I will see you on the flip side....Happy Trails.....
You was all around me on this one. I live in northeast Oklahoma about 3 miles off 44 just off old route 66. I have hauled salt out of there in an end dump. Hauled road salt out of 2 or 3 mines in Kansas to the states of Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. Most of my loads came out of Hutchinson, Kansas. The man I drove for owns that mine now. Stay safe and God bless.
Careful out there ....a little distracted driving out there....Great video plenty of freight = $$$$ Sage travels Happy Thanksgiving to you n family....JB
Please show putting that smoke tarp on and off. How to heck do you climb up there so high to get it on?? Looks dangerous. Great videos, thanks for all you do! Jim.
Thank you for moving America's goods! I love the channel,, not only do you do a great job with the videos but you do a great work of describing what's taking place in a day/week. I genuinely hate traveling, can't say that enough. I'm just terrible at it. Really like watching how effortlessly you cover the states though. Be safe, take care. 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
To bad you couldn’t have made a u-turn and kicked that a holes ass. Buy the way , always wondered why you called it a smoke 💨 tarp. Great 👍 video. As we use to say on the job “Stay alert, stay alive”.
Dan when are you going to put a big sleeper on your truck so when you need a shower you can just do it where ever you land for the day. Allways thank you for the good vids
We are always on opposite ends of each other. I live an hour from Altoona, passed ya a couple times on the big road but haven’t managed to meet up quite yet. One of these days. Stay safe dan!
Great video Dan. Where did you go in Arkansas to load? You never said where you were going just that you were going there. Stay safe out there and Happy trails to you Sir.
Right3g but its sad that in todays day and age that there are sooo many dumbass people in this world that they need to put common sense signs like that up..
Indiana Jack posted a similar incident where a guy passed him in a no passing zone and ran a Ford pickup off the road into the desert. Those guys need to have their CDL's suspended and heavy fine.
Let me start by saying I am a Tanker Yanker, the only flatbed experience I have is when my company borrows a flatbed for me to haul machinery between locations, usually a couple times a year. I got a level 1 here in California (I don’t leave California, in fact I stay within a 200 mile radius from my parking spot). I had my straps clipped to the rub rails and was told that’s illegal, they must be clipped to the main trailer. They didn’t cite me, just asked to to change it then actually gave me a sticker for my truck and trailer. Is there in fact a law regarding this? After I was told I was getting stickers I didn’t want to debate and kept my mouth shut.
I got a question. Why do you twist your straps? I'm going to Roehl Dec. 30th to get my CDL then drive Flatbed for them for about a year. I really enjoy your educational videos.
@@TheBigsmith79 yes, I'm scheduled to come up Dec. 30th. I could have come up earlier , but my parents are getting old and I want to spend the holidays with them. I'm excited to get this going.
If you get run over, do you have insurance for wreaking the other guy's truck hahaha? BTW, next time you drive into a building please get out and clean the fog off the front mirrors so I can see what the trailer is doing, hahhaha!! For a guy that got his CDL at Walmart, you drive pretty good, hahhahaha.... I think you should tarp every load just because I think you need the exercise hahahahaha.... Seriously, always nice seeing you Dan, I pray you get lots of good loads and are safe driving, etc. Was a very good video, thanks & thumbs up!!!!!!!!
That guy in that semi was passing that other truck should of waited until you passed that pass him if there is any deer which I don't know keep the shadyside down the sunnyside up
Hey dan I have a question for you I'm assuming you started as a company driver then bought your own set up. If that's that case how long were you a company driver before you went out on your own
Another excellent video! 👌🏻 Hey Dan go check out The Trucker John Show, good guy, he makes good videos, no drama. He deserves some more views and subscribers. Stay safe out there and keep those videos coming. 👍🏻

It's always good when the freight goes are good .
I haul a decent amount of deicing salt out of Lyons in my hopper. Usually back to Denver or surrounding towns.
They had the Overhead door go up and down for every load when you delivered the aluminum bars. 🤔
Those are those automatic speedy doors, they are awesome
It's cold outside
Looks good dan be safe!!!
Great video Dan. Where did you go in Arkansas to load? You never said where you were going just that you were going there. Stay safe out there and Happy trails to you Sir.
Stop on Red , go on Green ... what's the point , when the lights are not working.

No they need their CDL revoked and never reinstated
I noticed it was dirty at one of your stops and that isn't like you. Means things are busy, money for Christmas. Stay safe.
i want to be trucker. love to drive. but i am horrible at backing up.
Welcome to big Iowa. Where in Iowa did you pick up the green and blue pipe? Des Moines is home for me..
Man I have put many miles of that yellow polyethylene gas pipe in ground, spent 20 years working for a Natural Gas company here in Alabama!
Flatbed freight has been really good lately. Even down here in Florida
It has
Thanks for watching
Busy boy! Saving up for another cruise with Teresa?
I love stopping at Joplin 44
Your making so much money, you'll be able to buy a new 2020 Kenworth W990. Next year.
Probably busy because of the holiday
My neck of the woods, North of kc at rest area.
I could use about 6 feet of that 12" pipe
If only every week could be that good! Right?

Un profesional usted Dan.
I think if you look through the Regulation book you will find it listed under securement of freight. so straps dont get cut and break etc
Dan, how would I strap this load as I only have winches on my drivers side. Just curious for possible future loads
I got a question. Why do you twist your straps? I'm going to Roehl Dec. 30th to get my CDL then drive Flatbed for them for about a year. I really enjoy your educational videos.
The twist will stop the strap from Buzzing

Hey dan I have a question for you I'm assuming you started as a company driver then bought your own set up. If that's that case how long were you a company driver before you went out on your own

I'm not sure why TSH is soooo slow, we can't get good freight.
Where did you deliver in Kansas?
👍👍👍
You use a trucker gps or google maps?? Be careful in New York google maps will try to put you on parkways with lows overpasses
👍😎👍
Yes ... yes it has 👍🏻
Nice too hear the freight goes good, that moron will meet his maker soon if he keeps driving like that.
👍👍👍👍
sure diesel is cleaner, but it's still not 100%

Why do so many loads require it being tarped?
Shipper requests it for many reasons. Dan doesn't care, he gets paid extra to tarp it.
😳
do not turn your back to those things when they are handled, plastic coils have killed before
