Funny to me this is even a question. Not only does George Strait belong on the mountain, I think he’d be second to only Merle Haggard. The argument would come down to who was third and fourth. Probably Dolly and Hank Sr, but you could make a case for others like George Jones and Loretta Lynn. Oh, and George isn’t a member of the Opry by choice, since it would practically require him to live to Tennessee and he’s obviously Texan through and through…
