I feel like Mole Knight was always doing what he was doing, before or after the order, just diggin' that lost city.
like his goals weren't really altered in the 3 campaigns and Shovel Knight's credits.
he just loves dat excavating.
Zero SSOX and if you look at his boss area, he literally hasn't gone any deeper. He just uncovered more around the level
I love how you start above ground before the actual mines start.
Me too, I like the little changes they added to stages to add to the atmosphere, that’s why I really liked tinker knight’s stage in this campaign
So, in this campaign, you start above ground and eventually drop into the main mine, y’know, like a normal person; however, in SoH, the rope is still there, but Shovel knight doesn’t use it, he jumps in from the side like every other stage. I like to think that this implies that he dug his own way down.
You know its a good thing when every song on the ost has a comment saying "My favorite song"
This one has dat exacavating energy. I can take a shovel and dig shiz with shit.
mole knight deserves more credit for having some of the best themes
i was whistling the original lost city theme at school and some kid asked what song it was
I love how this remix gives you this impression of "a fire yet to burn", like this is just the spark to the original's roaring inferno.
I get that impression from "a Cargo of Fineries" too. It has that "preparing to take flight" feel to it, compared to the original which sounds like you're blasting through the sky!
A prequal indeed!
You're right, to put it in images, this is like climbing a volcano, where the original is being inside the volcano
DJFlare84 "In The Halls of The King" has a similar feel. It sounds more regal since King Knight hasn't taken over yet.
MannyIsAwesome1 Right!?
Aqua Vitae sounds to me like science! The chaotic experimental approach to discovery before our method becomes more refined and stable.
Adding to this, Tools of War sounds more like an inviting factory instead of an imposing one. As if Tinker Knight was actually just tinkering and not building for actual warfare.
@@MannyIsAwesome1 Actually, King Knight has taken over, but at that point he's just vibing basically. He hasn't actually done much anything yet.
I like how they kinda explain the green goo as something secreted from the mushrooms, and also mole knight uses it as a weapon instead of fire.
you know what will make mole knight even harder?
make him switch up his attack style every time between slimy and flamy or even make him both (make him switch WHILE he is attacking the attack like when he throw blocks some will be slime some will be dirt some will be explosive gunpowder? (what are these blocks any way gravel?)
Wait a minute
Mole knight uses fire to attack, gets his power from mushrooms, and is red. Could this mean that...
Deuce Moncura the mushrooms were probably excreted there.
Edit: Also on the SOH/POS world map you see the explodatorium facing the lost city.
@@seniorshrek6197 Are you implying that Mole Knight is Mario is a big suit of armor?
Lets be honest here, mole knight was the most humble out of the order of no quarter
Eli Hersh oh yeah, he was pretty good, especially his dialogue in plague of shadows.
he has pride and definitely boasts it, but he can respect anyone who's superior than him in a skill or craft he's proud of.
If you pay attention in the open space parts of the level you can see the Background used in the battle with Kratos in the Ps4 version.
Wow, you can! That's actually pretty interesting, since it implies that the ruins in which that fight took place are located near the area where the Lost City is, which makes sense since the Lost City in in ruin.
When Yacht Club described how Mole Knight's campaign would be(When you could vote for who you wanted to have a campaign), they said it would be about trying to prove himself to a greater digger.
My theory is they used this plot for the new upcoming Shovel Knight Dig! You know... With the new villian being that.... Drill knight...?
Chances are that mole knight would be an assistant/ a shopkeeper with various things. Like his own relics. And upgrades
Mole Knight already had a God-like OST. And now THIS.
Just when I thought this game's music couldn't get any better.
Ok so I thought this was pretty interesting. Specter of Torment is a prequel, obviously. So when Shovel Knight gets to the Lost City, it stands to reason that Mole Knight has been digging longer and has gotten further underground than when Spectie is there. In my opinion, the music even reflects this. This version is a higher pitch, just as the level is of a higher altitude. That is all.
is it possible that before he became a knight, Mole was a Miner? He decided to take up something he knew very well and put it to good use which is why he works fast in his fight. he knows where to be and where to start a fire. something a miner would be good at
I suppose we could surmise the same about the other knights too. They probably all had some sort of fitting purpose - not unlike some robot masters prior to be reprogrammed by Wily
That begs the question then: Is Mole Knight actually a mole?... or a man in a mole-shaped suit of armor?
I think he's actually a mole. Ought to be hard to move those claws so well with just regular fingers alone. Besides, anthropomorphic creatures are nothing foreign to the Shovel Knight universe, so its entirely possible.
the weavz My guess is that Mole Knight is a member of a race of antropomorphic moles and an actual knight who has knighted due to his promise as a treasure hunter.
The mole people had a huge system of cities until one day the mole empire crumbled.
Mole Knight was travelling through the vast ruins of his old home until Specter Knight encountered him.
I always liked this theme a lot, whether the original version or this one.
Facing the Task is appropriate for a more prologue-esque take on Mole Knight's stage, starting out with an octave-shifted version of the main melody and slight deviation from the primary key. The start of the piece is fitting for the stage's initial setting, but as Mole Knight and his forces dig further down the music grows more intense.
An Underlying Problem starts out an octave lower in the melody (with respect to this version), and by that point Mole Knight has dug deeper and deeper; more lava-filled segments and fiery obstacles fit the more intense feel of the song.
This song is amazing.
It takes a good minute to really get going, but 1:10 is just one of those parts of some songs that is just fantastic to listen to.
This song is my second favorite remix, mostly cuz the part at 1:10 is soo funky
0:57 that's when the funk dial gets cranked up to 11
Mole Knight has always been my favorite theme in my opinion. But dat small remix thoo... I think it's even better than the original!
I adore pretty much any theme from the Lost City.
My favorite is probably the original, but I like all of them, including No Sense Running
This is my favorite remix. ☆_☆
Mole Knight is always like "I just want to belly flop and dig ya dig?"
really want a mole knight campaign. just imagine the possibilities, like, mabye the lost city is expanded with each knight's weaponry? king knight, mabye his could be for smaller stuff, treasure knight, his could be a heavy digging implement. mabye its a quest for the ultimate digging tool, showing how little mole knight cares about the order, since he DOESNT EVEN LEAVE THE BOTTOM. LIKE SERIOUSLY, YOU'D THINK HE WOULD GET TO KNOW THE OTHERS. and mabye thats what he would do? idk, i'm just rambling whilst listening to one of my favourite tracks ever.
King Wongle I also really wanted a mole knight campaign. He's got a great design, lore, an army of mole minions, not to mention his big meaty claws...it would be righteous. Though I'm happy with the trio we got, (would have preferred mole over king), but at least we'll get battle mode. Plus with the trio and shovel knight, the squad's got this nice, "blue, green, red, and yellow" motif that makes them stand out visually.
I think It'd be neat if there was a mini campaign with Mole Knight discovering/exploring the depths of the Lost City and it gets progressively darker and creepier the further he ventures into it to find Treasure Knight who got lost because he trying to find riches. It could be a Metroidvania or Great Cave Offensive-type layout.
man from the future here: Mole knight got no campaign and will never get one since Yacht Club announced that king of cards would be the last campaign. F.
Was reading this all like "oh hey this is neat" BITCH THAT'S ME. 14 YEAR OLD JUMPSCARE
All versions of this stage are great! Awesome themes!
This could be in Phoenix Wright and no one would question it, especially the version from shovel knight.
This fits very well with the idea of a lost place underground
The Moment when you realise the Background of the beginning is the same as the Background during the Kratos Bossfight at the PS4 Version O_o
Wait. Kratos got his powers from the sun god. His chains are burned on his wrists. And mole can control fire. So mole knight connection to kratos confirmed
This is the best stage music in either the original game or Specter of Torment.
This is my favorite stage and theme in this game
This level was awesome in spectre of torment.
Somehow they managed to make my favourite song in the game even better. :)
I like how he is in the hottub in the epilogue but then in king knight's campagin he literally destroys the hottub a second later
this stage is absolute hell on ng+
In my experience, Exploratorium and Clockwork Tower are he'll on ng+, but Exploratorium gets better after the mid boss.
Comin' atcha one more time with that sound from underground, ladies and gentlemen,
*give it up for MOLE KNIGHT.*
I hope you'll have tower of fate up soon.
3ngag3 your basically an alolan dug trio but you have human faces instead!!
James Bareng i think the joke is that the character on the dugtrio is named "Doug". so it's Dougtrio
@michael hatz On the topic of profile pictures, yours is particularly glorious.
I'm rubbin' the funk something crazy on this track
I really liked this theme for the jungle trek like feel it gives the stage more meaning as I played through getting hyped as the music grew into the melody.
Maowe D. Ashi i liked the part where you visited the starting point in the shovel knight campaign
It's ironic the name cause i always see mole knight as one of the least memorable stages
Its just... fire
Thats it...
And goo also but.
.
.
.
*fire*
This is the perfect remix
Lost City Zone, Act 2
I suppose technically this would be act 1 since spectre of torment is a prequel to shovel of hope. :)
Excellent music for me to code.
Mole Knight went from the easiest boss in the game with Shovel Knight, to the cheapest boss in the game with Specter Knight...
Seriously? Just use the Skeleton Sniper over and over again. Sometimes you wont even get hit. Its nuts.
eh, i'd say specter knight was the easiest boss in shovel knight's campaign
_it's a hot one_
Sounds pretty similar to Kirby.
My god they manage to better them with each installment
Master Kamina-The Spiral Jester Jake is a Wizard, didn't you know?
Still the best song. Chill Mole Knight.
This is the best track in all of shovel knight /dlc
this game is fucking awesome
Uhhhhh....that beginning.....TEMPORAL TOWER PLS
Mole Knight is an RD.
A _Real Digga._
Are you going to upload the theme for Tower of Fate: Entrance?
I like this a lot better than I remember

Staggering.
King of Cards Stages
Excavation Station
Volcanic Vault
awesome
In 20 Years, All the Gen Zs And Younger Millenials will use this game to make their taste of gaming look older than it actually is.
This is one of those cases where the original song was soooo good that no remix could ever improve it. They tried, but it was a fools errand right from the start.
LOVE ONE ANOTHER LIFE DOSENT WORTH IT TO MAKE THI BROTHER THI ENEMY
#usa LOST HELL hahahahahah
I love how the original themes were the Act 2 versions all along.
I prefer to call the songs in SoH present while SoT is more past
It’s funny because act 1 always has the better music most of the time.
Verserer Gred IMO
@@seniorshrek6197 Me, looking at Generations: are you sure about that?
@@seniorshrek6197 This is the only track that completely shits all over the act 1 version of this theme.
