Rasheedah, you are so right. We can't save anyone. We can only shine our light and they can only see as much as they hold within themselves. I don't know if I've ever mentioned this but I've always been a healer, even before I knew anything about it. I was the friend that everyone went to when they were down. Probably because I care and I listen intently. I think all healers know that you have to let your friend in the darkness find the light within themselves, so that they can see their own path out. You're right that the hardest part of loving someone is letting them go and hoping that they love themselves enough to make it on their own. The best that we can do is to give our loved ones an example of our love for them and if they don't respect that we show them that we love ourselves enough to leave. That's terribly hard to do if you're a male who wants to protect a female loved one. We have to be strong enough mentally and spiritually to detach ourselves from the outcome and trust the Universe to provide. Men have a tendency to attempt to force things. We are all brutes by nature but force or violence is usually (95% ofthetime) not the best solution. We have been gifted with such beautiful minds but we so often fail to use them effectively. I'm impressed with the way you use yours to balance intellect with compassion. In life we have to know when to push, when to pull and when to let go. Sometimes it takes more grit to let it go than it does to hold on to the past. "I can't go back to yesterday for I was a different person then." - Lewis Carroll I understand how hard it is to detach from people we love. It is truly heart breaking. Yet we cannot allow others to bind us to a life that is unfulfilling or centered around things which we've outgrown because of their codependency. I'm glad that you don't have a gimmick other than your minimalistic bohemian free spirit and that you know what it means to have grit. You have a beautiful soul, Rasheedah and a welcoming smile. I have read The Devine Comedy and I believe Dante wrote it in first person tense, so Virgil must be the guide?... but don't quote me on that. It was decades ago that I last read it. Hell as we know it in the western hemisphere is largely taken from Dante. The fact that he has a guide isn't trivial. Hell in reality is the collapse of reason into chaos, then to hopelessness. One can easily get lost there if they don't have a guide or a map of sorts. I have been there. It wasn't fun and nobody knew how to get me out or perhaps I just didn't want to listen. I learned how to detach and change my perspective. That's the way out. You just have to walk through the fire and this is where most people turn back. The devil is a charming f@cker and the devil we know kills us slowly. So slowly we don't even notice it. I've had to heal myself several times over the course of this life and now I trust my intuition. I don't always understand it but I follow where it leads me, even back into hell for no other reason than to defend my own sovereignty against those who have no respect for my boundaries. I hope that you enjoyed reading my tripe as much as I enjoyed watching your video. ❤

@stevecook5842 Steve, your words are so kind and felt. I resonate with your response very much. (I have to re-read your comments from time to time because there are so many hidden jewels there). Thank you for taking the time to express your feelings about the message. Truly. Love to you.

You are absolutely welcome. I appreciate that you write back. I'm a bit of a poet and an aspiring writer who has a tendency to get inspired by something and just ramble my thoughts away in a stream of consciousness that probably over-explains my position(s). Most people don't write back or say much if they do respond. You have a way of asking questions about societal, spiritual and psychological/consciousness topics that requires your viewers to pump the clutch, downshift and engage their minds... What I'm trying to say is "You make people think." I like that and I can't help but take the bait but I tend to be a bit 'long winded', I'm pleased to know that you enjoy my musings... 😊

I used to have the excuse that I was too busy to put the work into it but I recently lost my full time job. I'm currently dealing with a contentious divorce and I could probably come up with another dozen or more excuses for why I don't have a online page of some sort but the real answer is that I'm not tech savvy and I haven't challenged myself to take up the task of learning. How difficult is it to start your own UA-cam channel or fakebook page? I'm an analog man in a digital world. I actually miss the good old days when we weren't expected to be so omnipresent to everyone. Have you given much thought to the potential detrimental effects of our digital society? You've probably already posted a video about. If you haven't I'd be interested in seeing one.
PS, You're audio volume is so low that I practically have to put the phone to my ear. A new set of ear buds would probably fix this on my end. I'm not complaining just bringing it to your attention.

@@stevecook5842 Oh no! I will get my other mic out. I'm in the middle of unpacking right now. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I am also working on getting a digital camera. I prefer quality over everything.
And yes, I have made videos on such topics and I need to add some other videos to my digital age playlist here:
