Loving this build a lot! I have been following all your videos as I build my R2-D2. You are very helpful and I appreciate it. Thank you for sharing these insightful videos and the site to obtain the batteries here in the US. 🤝
I swear, every time I watch these videos, I find myself thinking that, in the Star Wars universe, this is probably close to how these astromech droids are built.
Love the videos - they are extremely helpful and i'm glad i watched since there was an error in one of the stages. Thanks for that. Question - how many batteries do i need - US type.
@@WorldofWayneUK got you. Makes a lot of sense. I take it it's one of your additions. It seems that for all the heavy metal construction, these kits do have some surprising points of weakness.
those batteries you suggested in the links are not available right now in the U.S. 1. Do you have a different brand we could find ? 2. These batteries are Unprotected are you sure those are the correct type to use ?
Yep. The R2 unit has its own protection circuit. If you use protected batteries they won’t work. Here’s a link for some currently in stock www.18650batterystore.com/en-gb/products/samsung-30q-button-top
Well it's 100% the space of rods That's my issue from the last video, cuz the screws are sliding out, using the same screws on the top 2.5x8 mm I'm wondering if then home like change the spacer rods and didn't realize that they're slightly too big because they sent me a second pack for 73 to put the special rods in, however still the same issue. I sent them a message and a video showing that the 8 mm screw just slides out just by tipping it over or putting it upside down, I'm using super glue, and it's all over my hands cuz the super glue thing broke 😅😅 I'm not really mad at the situation it's just kind of like why are my spacer rods not screwing in like they're supposed to like they are in your video, I don't think I've seen anyone else mentioned this issue, but it kind of f**** up me doing issue 25 if I can get my spatial rods to stay put or the screws to stay in 😅
Whoa that was rushed. Especially on stage 78 where you skipped showing which pack(s) to get all of the screws you've assembled in. I had a few packs from previous stages, so I went on using what I thought were the correct ones. After screwing in the 6mm black screws from the tools panel I realized I was out of these (and I can guarantee I didn't lose or misuse any screws so far) and the only ones I had left were 6mm black *flanged* screws from another pack, so these were the ones I used for the brackets (although I cannot guarantee these were the ones you used because I couldn't even pause for a decent frame this time). I hope these flanged screws aren't gonna be required furthermore. And you missed one screw in the tools panel. Again, there were only 3 left in my pack, so these were used in the bottom but there's one more fixing hole + post next to the opposite edge. I realize you're under pressure to release the build videos especially because you're committed to doing so many different models at the same time, but please try to be a bit more thorough in your explanations and demonstrations if you can.
@@WorldofWayneUK The link is indeed more detailed with good pictures as well. I can see that he actually secures the Tool Compartment into place with four 2.3×6 mm *black flanged* screws which gives me a bit of relief. I don't mean to criticize you, especially knowing this is your second installment of this build and you may have gone (are going?) through difficult times (no longer I hope). But your reply was honest and admirable. Thank you again Wayne, for your good work altogether.

Rodger the 6 batteries thanks
Is the leg thing supposed to be a little wobbly
No, I
Don’t think so
Are those hex head bolts the same as the ones for the falcons engine cover
They are mighty similar
Hi Wayne. What's the big blob of what looks like chewing gum on the end of the light-sabre delivery platform?
It’s resin. It sets hard so I can assure those wires aren’t coming detached from the connection points

It’s a fair comment. Check out myr2d2build.com/ . Todd really helps with what screws to use
