There may not actually be many people seriously proposing revolution. Some, even most, could be government plants. In the current environment, that is very likely.
This really needs to be clarified. Many folks with disabilities can't physically engage in paid labor because of physical ability and restrictions on disability benefits. Your statement also does not take into account the unpaid labor of caregivers without which many families could not maintain even the facade of a modern life.
Gotta start using the term ruling class, that makes it much clearer. Clearer than "the billionaire class" we keep hearing. People say that because they think it will protect them from being called communist. They're gonna call you that anyway. I got called a communist for taking part in a demonstration about climate change.
People have been saying that a civil wars has been coming since I was a kid. I'm now 52. As a Combat Veteran I will say this, embrace the idea that you have no idea of what you're in for should a revolution break out. I will tell you this. You won't be in control when the dust settles. You can bank on that. So, You had better hope that US government retains control, because if any group other than the US government retains control then you're going to see events on scale you can't even begin to fathom. People you thought you could trust will delete you, your family, and forcibky take your belongings. You're not ready for this scale of violent survival. Most of you will succumb to injuries, starvation, and depression. You're not built for this scale of prolonged truama. The sooner you grasp that reality the better off you are. You think you know, but you don't. You won't until you're in the middle of it. Urban Warfare, and warfare in general is changing in ways that you cannot cope with. Groups, Private Miltias, and other organizations, have capabilities that you wish you could have. We're not talking a handful of casualties here and there. We're talking millions by the time it's done. We're talking number s the size of Chicago, or even New York when it's all over. But you're going to FAFO. You're going to wish you hadn't.
I understand what you are saying since a violent revolution is something the American public cannot handle. However, there is something called the peaceful solution to the social question outlined in Article 5 of the Constitution being the Amendment Clause. What the working class should do is organize into Socialist Industrial Unions as the organization of labor across the US. This class conscious organization would dominate every shop, factory and exist in every corporation. When the labor organization becomes dominate in every industry the political party of labor can signal for a general lockout of the capitalist class across the nation. The party of labor would seek, through peaceful means, the complete surrender of the capitalist class and then proceed to dismantle the capitalist state while those in the Socialist Industrial Unions would create a Congress of Labor under full control of the rank and file and every industry from coast to coast would be owned by the rank and file of the union. The Congress of Labor is an economic organization of planning the economy which has nothing to do with politics that we see today and the leaders elected to those positions can be recalled at any time if they don't do their job and others can be elected to take their place. Furthermore, under the present capitalist system, the majority of crimes committed are economic in nature. Of course there will be community police to handle those who commit crimes by those who would harm people including domestic violence. I am of opinion that there would be a small political form of government that would protect society from those private militias or military armies and have the means to defend the socialist experiment. The above comment was written in my own words but reflects the Socialist Industrial Union concept conceived by the American Socialist Daniel De Leon before anyone ever heard of Lenin and years before the Soviet Union existed
@JohnT.4321 you will have people like me that will not let the value of thier labor be set by the the collective and will not abide by " from each according to their ability, to each according to their need" because we under stand that not all people want to live like us or as the collective demands. There will be resistance to your idea of revolution, and it will be violent. The idea of a velvet revolution where people in America will suddenly come into some quasi mystical idea of enlightenment via class consciousness is a pipe dream. There hasn't been a socialist revolution anywhere in the world that hasn't been violent and hasn't turned on the very people it was pretending to liberate. Even union history is rife with corruption and violence where "scabs" were targeted for simply crossing the picket line. The individual can survive without socialism, but socialism can not survive without the individual. Socialism demands conformity and to achieve that Socialism must become absolutely tyrannical, and much as socialism purports to love democracy and freedom, these concepts actually are fundamentally abhors by socialism. Finally. Socialism is slavery. Every individual owne their labor, but under socialism that labor is owned by the collective even though the value of that labor is set by the collective. If a person. Cannot own that which he or she produceses and its value is to be set someone else because it's owned by someone else, then that person is a slave. Socialism essentially replaces one master with another, and nothing changes for the individual. The worker exchanges on slave master for another, and no amount flowery language about an enlightened velvet revolution and emergent class consciousness is going to change that fact.
I think it is more clear than I am comfortable with. The Trump administration and their agenda is taking extreme steps but with his threats to other countries is a serious sign.

While I agree that this is a moment of great anger release and, hopefully, the beginning of class consciousness finally reaching the average American... I think that this is an overly optimistic view of things as they stand right now. True revolution needs organization, you need to BUILD an alternative, otherwise it's just a riot. And, while I think this is a great moment for such organization to increase, it's far from a guarantee and on top of that, the average American just has such a huge amount of indoctrination and lies that they have to be pulled out of. I wouldn’t be so quick to discount riots. Did you witness the organization and community building that happened in the wake of the 3rd Precinct “bye-bye” in 2020? Once the streets were reclaimed, art and thought flourished and people were able to come together freely to create and share.
@@xa1531 While I appreciate your point and agree that these events can be a *catalyst* for organization and change, they are not always. And, even when they are catalysts, that organization and community building doesn't just appear out of nowhere. It happens because people made a conscious and *very* intentional effort to make it happen, which is kinda my point. We can't just sit idly by and allow the wave to surge uselessly, we have to be ready to jump into and *ride* that wave, or even better to intentionally plan and execute those waves at times when they will be most advantageous.
What keeps class consciousness from being fully developed is what the American Socialist Daniel De Leon called "Inner Class Struggle" which means that far too many Americans have the mindset of "reforms to capitalism" in order to make capitalism kinder and gentler verses the much smaller population of those who are class conscious who understand that workers should own the means of production and distribution. This latter group is not very sure about what political party they should be in. There is a lack of economic organizations (other than the Industrial Workers Of the World Union) who promote raising class consciousness. Workers do have to organize politically but they also have to organize economically when it comes to where they work at. They have to agree to come together in an organization of labor whether it has a union form or a united worker's council form.
American people are a lot of things - but one common denominator stands out: we are scrappy badasses We can really create some powerful, meaningful, positive change if we united on that front. We'll see what the future brings...
From an outside perspective it's a bit funny/sad to hear US civilians talk about revolution. You think you can Viet Cong the US army?
The Adjuster for president!
Is your supply of electricity limited??
I live in an old house without much overhead lighting.
American people are a lot of things - but one common denominator stands out: we are scrappy badasses
We can really create some powerful, meaningful, positive change if we united on that front.
We'll see what the future brings...
We need Anarchism!
From an outside perspective it's a bit funny/sad to hear US civilians talk about revolution. You think you can Viet Cong the US army? Personally I think your militarized police force would be more than able to handle an attempted revolution, but the single largest army in the world is right behind them. You think the 1% wouldn't wage war on you if you seriously threatened them?
This comment is giving Russian bot.
@@ParkrosePermaculture No no. I'm Swedish and I don't get paid by anyone for writing annoying comments. And sorry if I was being a downer -I'm not saying 'don't fight'. I'm just saying that if any group of US civilians would actually try to stage a real revolution then they are braver than I.
Remember also how many of the average citizens have weapons and debilitating diseases they were never going to be able to get health care for. Care for US veterans isn't good either.
All I see is more of the same
Luigi's case/UHC greed will keep being a reminder, salt in our wounds, as the next 4 years Rs will be overreacting stealing more of our lives--our taxpayer TRILLIONS while they try to destroy/cut all our social safety net programs, that even comatose MAGAts will join us with pitchforks.
Wow. Musk is a bad guy for spending $200 mill on 2024 but Zuckerberg spending $475m in 2020 was A-OK.
Just because someone criticizes a person doesn’t mean that they’re saying that’s the only person worth criticizing.. 2020 was 4 years ago, 2024 is this year so it’s just a bit more relevant is all
They're obviously both bad people and more important, people buying our elections is causing serious harm. Having politicians beholden to wealthy donors instead of their constituents doesn't work.
No, what Fuckerberg did is bad too.
You must not be familiar with my multiple videos on how billionaires shouldn't exist and none are ethical.
Whataboutism is a lazy, lazy fallacy.
Or maybe a richer country can just buy us and prevent unpleasant conflict.
Hopefully the new government will be better.
Eek, can we talk about plants, Put this on another channel that I can ignore.
Imagine a plant that sucked so much water out of the earth that the soil around it turned to dust and then imagine the cells of this plant were forced to give all of their water too so that the roots shrivelled and the stem withered all for the sake of a fruit that turned that water to poison so that no animal could eat from it and then imagine what kind of world it would be for this plant to spread itself across the globe-taking up water not for the sake of life but for the sake of having an infinite amount of water in a world with a finite amount of water. Does that help?
If you don't like my content, you're welcome to decline to watch it. I don't alter my content to pander to an audience that is uncomfortable discussing the full depth and breadth of permaculture ethics and principles.
@@ParkrosePermaculture Got it! I did not watch it. I will unsubscribe. I have other permaculture folks to watch that are not trying to incite riots and revolution. See ya! BTW way most the crap you were touting is misguided or straight out incorrect. Not surprising of the misinformed wacko left. I hope you continue to "grow" :)
From Australia, I support all peaceful revolution. Something has to happen or the world is doomed. Action, without violence is possible. Good luck. Do not opt out of change for the better. 🩵
I am with you but just remember who is responsible for violence. Peaceful protests get met with riot cops and tear gas
Wdym peaceful revolution? Those 2 don't go toguether
Have you ever heard of what happened in Chile when they tried a peaceful transition to socialism? The ruling class orchestrated a coup with Us backing.
No system will ever reliquish the keys to power peacefully.
@@marcelo55869I keep wondering what is the modern version of pitchforks.
@@2Question-Everythingpitchforks were used because it’s what was on hand. In Japan when trying to overthrow the rule of samurai, a lot of farming implements were used as well. Sometimes the French dump manure on the road using agricultural machinery in protest. Control food; control people. Starvation breaks the spirit and disrupts communities. That’s why the bison were purposely hunted to near extinction and why gaza was kept hungry for years and years (and why ~70% of agricultural land has been purposely destroyed)
