- Swami Brahmananda Saraswati, Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math
Swāmī Brahmānanda Saraswatī (20 December 1868 - 20 May 1953) was the Shankaracharya of the Jyotir Math monastery in India. Born into a Brahmin family he left home at the age of nine in search of a spiritual master. At age fourteen he became a disciple of Swami Krishnānanda Saraswati. At the age of 34 he was initiated into the order of "Sanyas" and became the Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math in 1941 at age 70.
For those who don't know, It's Maharishi Mahesh Yogi singing to his master and talking about him in english.
❤Mahesh Yogi was Swami bramanandajis secy for many yrs even though a non Brahmin ,hence was not eligible to hold the holy office which went to swamiswaroopanandji . in anger or otherwise he started his own movement .
@@jagdishramanathan2091 went to swami saraswati shantananda.. Maharishi wasn't of the Brahman class so he couldn't have been a Shankaracharya. who ever said this was pulling your leg ;) >n anger or otherwise he started his own movement .

I once was stroke by the direct light which came through the polaroid film of 1949 when Maharishi visited his Guru Shankaracharya BrahmanandaPranavaananda Guru Dev of Joshimath. I then was at the age of 20 and had practiced for about 6-7years Transcendental Meditation and passed the three-month internship course in Siddhi PRogram initiated by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi! I thought then: Oh, if this conscious eternal ray of light even strokes me through a film, I will go for this living eternal testimony in my life! And yes in 2003 all material world scattered into pieces and for blessed reasons somehow I was guided by transcendental conscious reasons into the Himalayas into Nainital and Joshimath and Badrinath in the company of our Dearest Kriya Babaji Nagaraj and all of that true stories & wisdom of Divine Love was showered upon me walking with the eternal Masters.
I am so pleased for you : ) Thank you for sharing. The Light of Good/God, The Inner and Outer Light. Recently been awakening to the truth of Sanskrit being full of light.
